Dryer came broke!!!!

After they left pushed it in place and hooked up,,, mmmm only way it stays running is to hold button down!!!!!! I called.... First they wanted to send geek squad out.... Ahhhh it's new... No, want a new one!!! I HAVE had to WAIT 3 weeks for new one,,, suppose to b here Thursday....

The service attendant was excellent, but it was quite inconvenient for a new machine...and I think the warranty is only 6 months!

Second time they nad the dryer but the instalation kit i paid for the first time didnt fit the new dryer so the inatallers charbed me $40. dollars for a different kit and told me to go back to best buy to bet a refund. There is no way they were gas certified because of using white teflon tape to seal gas. Lucky for me the kit i bought had pipe dope to do it right. The dryer knob is so tight you feal like your going to break it just by using it. Im probably going to purchase a new switch and try and fix this problem. I wonder if they are going to give me my useless 25 points for this? Id rather have the $40 dollars and a days pay they owe me!!!!

This dryer has no setting that uses the word "hot". I don't care how the manufacturer tries to justify that. The hottest setting is called 'cotton'. I put a normal load of towels in and set the timer for 1 hour. Checked it after 1 hour. Had to set it for another 40 minutes. Checked it again and set it for another 40 minutes! I HATE THIS DRYER. If I could, I would return it. My gas bill is through the roof!

Repair person just left and the motor is out. Will cost $350 to fix. In his opinion, not worth the money to fix. So off I go to buy a new dryer 4 days before Christmas. I’ll tell you one thing, it won’t be another GE. What’s even worse is I purchased the matching washing machine a few months ago. Now I’m worried when that will break.

It made a horrible scraping sound when running. Tech thought the drum was misaligned. It seems like this is a common problem, unfortunately.

And the sound it makes at the 2 audible settings for end of the drying cycle would wake anyone sleeping. Too noisy for a indoor dryer.

Clothes take forever to dry

Especially jeans and towels. And no it's not the hose. I have a brand new 4 foot holes and it's not kinked. Just takes so long to dry things. So far very unhappy customer. To be honest. I wish I would have bought a different dryer but I'm stuck with it now. Sadness. For this reason I cannot recommend it to anybody. I miss the days when a load would dry in 35 or 45 minutes. But now it takes at least an hour and a half to 2 hours on a good day.
