Dryer stopped Drying my clothes

Posted .We apologize that you’re having issues with your new dryer, and we want to help you reach a resolution. We recommend checking the fuses/circuit breakers to ensure there’s no issue; some electric dryers use two, and if only one is operating heating and drying may be affected. Temporarily disconnecting the dryer from power for a couple of minutes before reconnecting can also help, as this resets the electrical components. Troubleshooting tips are available starting on page 12 of the manual, which you can view on our GE Appliances website when you look up the model number and check the product’s page. If you aren’t able to resolve this with troubleshooting, Bodewell (GE Appliances’ team of appliance care experts) can be reached at 833-426-3393. They don’t make them like they use to

When I tried to replace it, I was told it was out of stock but can use it until it is restocked. It does dry well at all. The many different dryer functions do not work properly and I had to dry it many times for a full try. Would not recommend

Posted .We are sorry to hear you are having these issues. We'd like to offer some troubleshooting tips. Please confirm your Temp setting is on high and try selecting Timed Dry to see if the drying improves. We also recommend inspecting the vent coming off the back of the dryer and make sure it isn't kinked or collapsed. We also recommend making sure the outside wall cap isn't blocked or restricted in any way. Fire waiting to happen

After the first few loads, when you opened the door lint would be piled up inside. I clean the lint filter EVERY TIME. We just dealt with it, but after a while it was taking longer and longer to dry, so i looked in the slot where the lint filter goes, and its FULL of lint & hair. I got it all vacuumed out (all that I could see, because it's next to impossible to take anything apart yourself on this dryer) and here i am, 2 weeks later, with that section full of lint again. I've had this dryer for 2 months, there is NO REASON it should have that much lint build up inside already. And with it being so much it affects the drying time, I'm sure this dryer will either be in the trash or on fire before i can even finish paying it off.

Sensor function does not work

I would put clothes in and it would turn off in 5-7 minutes. The only way I run clothes now is a time dry cycle, which I sometimes have to babysit because 20 minutes is too short but 40 minutes is too long depending on the load. I picked GE because I thought it would be better than my previous Samsung. I was wrong. Do yourself a favor and go buy a Speed Queen or better yet, a 20 year old dryer and repair it until it dies.

POORLY MADE

The back of the drum was cracked and the screws were falling out. GE agreed to send out a repair man free. However they were going to charge me over 350 for the parts to repair it. Chances are it was already cracked when it was assembled. Shotty workmanship. No more GE appliances for me!!!

Don't Order

I got notice the day of the scheduled delivery that they were unable to fulfill the order. Unfortunately Best Buy won't call me to schedule the delivery date. I would avoid Best Buy to schedule due to poor customer service.

doesn't dry clothes as expected

We've gone through the manual and troubleshooting recommendations. I currently have a load of towels - all similar weights in dryer. After an hour on the 'towel setting' they still are not close to being dry. Disappointed in this product.

Broken dryer

Had geek squad come out and order the new parts and twice the parts came broken. When calling to ask to exchange unit was told they cannot do anything about it. It’s been a month without a dryer. Would not recommend buying any used items from best buy

Disappointed
