I wish that I could find a good dryer.

When we bought it 3 months ago, the dryer did not heat up enough to dry clothes completely and the moisture sensor did not work. Service provider replaced the heating element, but the dryer still does not heat up enough to dry a load of clothes, and the moisture sensor does not work well. We have been drying every load of laundry at least 3 times. In addition to this problem, which surely can be fixed eventually, the lint trap on this machine is truly terrible. The lint typically falls back into the lint trap well, but most of the lint just sticks to the door.

I decided to exchange it for a Maytag and not take my chances. Plenty of great cycles though.

Does not dry at all

Mind you, this is the second dryer we get. Originally, bought it 2 weeks ago and we immediately noticed it was not drying. We ended up doing 3, 90 min cycles for a small load of clothes to come out sort of dry. So we called best buy and the customer seevice was great, immediately was scheduled for an exchange. The new dryer was delivered 4 days ago and still not drying… i am returning this and getting a different brand. Delivery guys were great both times, this is all about the equipment. I would not recommend.

Posted .We know having issues with multiple appliances must be very concerning, and we truly regret the difficulty you’ve had. If you still have the unit and wish to try troubleshooting, you may want to make sure the fuses/circuit breakers are working correctly; electric dryers often use two, and if only one is functioning the performance will be impacted. Additional troubleshooting tips are available starting on page 12 of the manual, which you can view on our GE Appliances website when you look up the model number and go to the product’s page. If you’re not able to resolve the concern with troubleshooting and think service is needed, Bodewell (GE Appliances’ team of appliance care experts) can be reached at 833-426-3393. Disappointed Customer

We want to help and recommend checking to see if you have r Eco Dry turned on. Cycle times will change when this is selected. The Eco Dry option will default to "ON" for Cottons. For optimal energy savings, turn it on and for optimal drying times, turn Eco Dry off. Energy savings will vary across loads and cycles. Not happy

After six months a few of the timer settings don’t work. The dryer shuts off after 5 or less minutes. Also, the lowest setting is like setting my clothes on fire.

Don’t waste your money !

Fire waiting to happen

After the first few loads, when you opened the door lint would be piled up inside. I clean the lint filter EVERY TIME. We just dealt with it, but after a while it was taking longer and longer to dry, so i looked in the slot where the lint filter goes, and its FULL of lint & hair. I got it all vacuumed out (all that I could see, because it's next to impossible to take anything apart yourself on this dryer) and here i am, 2 weeks later, with that section full of lint again. I've had this dryer for 2 months, there is NO REASON it should have that much lint build up inside already. And with it being so much it affects the drying time, I'm sure this dryer will either be in the trash or on fire before i can even finish paying it off.
