Steam setting gets clothes soaking wet. Dryer does not dry completely. now have to get service

These are great machines, it's the first week I have them but I like them very much and they have great features: GW650SPNASN washer and matching series gas dryer look great and seem very sturdy. As one reviewer pointed out, they are much more grey looking in real life than the photo shows us. I have read they are a good choice if you want smart machines in some top 10 washer/dryer article, but what sold me was the microban infused door gasket and the venting system to eliminate mold. Also, the soap dispenser can hold 50 oz. of liquid soap and dispense according to the weight of the wash load, so I don't have to add detergent every time I do a wash. I had pulled out the soap dispenser on another high end machine and it fell apart in my hands, it was a snap together assembly that felt cheaply made but it did snap back together. Plus, the size of the drums are nice and large. The controls are really neat and high tech looking, I hope the electronics are robust enough to last long. There are a couple of things to note: in a stacked situation, the controlls on the dryer are definitely out of reach to someone around 5'3" in my house, and it's a problem for her - will see how the app may help with this, otherwise she will need a step stool. The middle of the rotary dial of the dryer is 6'8" off my floor. The machines are on 1-1/2" high rollers I added for ease of moving these beasts for cleaning and hose access.

Great dryer, and the price was excellent during black Friday. I truly enjoy this dryer. It runs smooth and quiet.

No complaints here! Works really well. Clothes come out dry, no wrinkles, and very fast. Pretty awesome dryer.

Dryer doesn't heat. Throws an error code that's not in the manual. And although GE Appliances has been really nice on the phone, the service guy came out under warranty and said he didn't know what the issue could be. No one else will service the dryer while it's under warranty, so they want the same service guy to come out again. Will be 5 weeks without a dryer that actually drys. On GE's website, they say "GE Appliances is the only appliance manufacturer that provides nationwide service with its own highly skilled technicians specifically trained to help you with your GE Appliances." However there's not nearly enough of them, so they make appointments for weeks in the future, come out for about 5 minutes, suggest you clean the dryer vent and tell you they will get back to you. Then they don't. Then they try and keep you on hold so you give up. Don't buy a GE Appliance until they are actually able to honor the warranty. Probably a great machine when it works, but it is DOA for me.
