This was super easy to connect to my TV, Directv box, and dvd player. Which is great because I am not very patient when setting things up. Thinking about getting another one for my other rooms.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The only reason I am keeping this remote is because it provides one thing a fancy Logitech Harmony could/would not: It lets me key in specific channel numbers for my Toshiba 55L421U. Corner-cutting design by Toshiba did not provide that ability with the included remote - all it can do is step through available channels one at a time, and the Harmony "duplicates" that limited function, so I returned that overpriced gadget. This cheap GE remote not only lets me key in the subchannels (3.2, 45.1, etc), it also lets me save them as favorites. Woot! It does not figure out any of my other devices, but at least it makes for a better TV remote at the clearance price for a decent deal.

Does not work with Samsung sound bars

We purchased this in-store, and was told by the sales rep that this would definitely control our Samsung sound bar. It does not. There is only one 4-digit code for Samsung audio, and it doesn't work. I looked online for other codes, and I found ones that will work with our sound bar, but they are all 5-digit codes, which this remote will not accept. Will be returning this thing soon. Side note: I went to the manufacturer's website as instructed in the manual, and the code list hasn't been updated since 2013, if that tells you anything.
