    I have these in a few rooms in my house and they seem to lose connection a lot. I have tried adding them through the ge app and updating firmware and it still drops off.

    Direct wifi to your router without the need for any hub is why I got these. The bulbs can still be controlled by your smart speaker or mobile device but they dont need a Philips Hue hub or Alexa Echo Plus to setup.

    Worth the $20 I paid when they work. The GE app never connected to the bulbs, and the first step (blinking bulbs) did not work with Google Home. Just continue on in Google Home and the will respond, then you can edit to name them. Even automated them to come on at dusk. But they at times stop working. Turning off power and back on seems to get them to work again. With all these bugs seems to be the way Google now operates...sigh. Don't pay full price as they don't fully work as described. Worth $20.
