    This would be useful but not for what I need it for. Keep in mind, this does provide power to anything plugged into the device, however this will not turn on a device that isn't already set to turn on. For example, this will not turn on a Television, but it can turn on a fan that is switched on.

    Plugged it right in and downloaded the app. And just like that it was ready to go.works good with Alexa voice and very little lag between voice command and carrying out the action. Good product and priced not too bad.

    If you have bought C by GE bulbs (as they are cheaper and from GE) then you will need to buy this plug otherwise these bulbs will not work with Alexa. Adding and configuring these with the C by GE app is easy and straightforward. After you add this to your network, the bulbs will be discovered by Alexa automagically.
