    I needed Google assistant control of a lamp in which I could not have the control built into the bulb type. This did the job and will be more flexible if I change use.

    I have a couple of this brand of plugs and bulbs already. I really like them a lot. I've been adding more n more to my home to have the accessibility of remotely operating different items in my home. The scheduling of lights has really spoiled me though.

    Well, I thought I'd start to "smart-n-ize" our home with this plug. Bottom-line.....it didn't work and I had to return it. Now, bear in mind that I have a background in computers and I'm a regular "fix-it" guy at home so I should have been able to figure this out. When I got to the point where I was to pair it, the plug kept telling me that I was using the wrong wifi password which was interesting since I had two cell phones connected to the wifi via the password I was attempting to enter. I even had one of their tech guys on the phone for about 1/2 hr and he couldn't get it to work either. Maybe the one I bought was made on a Friday or a Monday but it just isn't supposed to be that hard. Did I buy another one when I took it back? No. At that point I didn't want to take the chance of being frustrated a second time. Maybe down the road I'll give it another shot (from a different mfg) but not right now.

      Thanks for taking the time to share this information to us. We deeply regret wasting your time with our product not being able to be connected to your devices. This smart plug requires a 2.4ghz wifi network to connect and function as well as a wpa2 network security type setup through your home wifi network settings. Usually these things are defaulted however there are newer routers that require settings to be tweaked to allow our devices to connect and function.     Works well.... no issues yet. Takes awhile to program into you existing network.

    This is a good quality product and it’s great when it works with the C by GE app. On the Google side Google still has glitches from time to time it’s a problem on the Google side, since 2018 but it’s good for a starter device

    I have a few c by ge products and I like them. Good quality for price. Only had issues with having to reconnect them to Alexa when they just get out of whack

    The plug works fine, but the Cync app is terrible. Works better with google home.

    C by G E is a good product but I use Apple and HomeKit and it doesn’t work not product problem but the app works good with WiFi on 2.4Ghz and works away from home with App C by GE

    smarten up a lamp too dumb for a smart bulb

    The torch lamp uplighting the ceiling in the living room has a mechanical fader to turn it up or down, and a switch on the side to turn it on or off. It's at Grandma and Grandpa's house, and smart bulbs don't work in any lamp like that. This plug lets us use Alexa to turn the lamp on or off with voice commands, without having to turn and fumble for a switch. The folks can turn the lamp on or off from across the room.

    Product is good especially I have a mother in law that eventhough she had monthly ss income she don’t pay rent or even share in the house. This would limit her from using the electricity.

    My daughter recommended getting this. I plugged my china cupboard into this plug. Set it on a routine and done. No more opening the door, reaching in, turning on. Making sure I don't knock anything over. Wonderful product. Easy to set up.

    You can connect everything that is not smart and make it work with Alexa or Google but doesn't work with apple home to control it, even though it says some of these are compatible. And have to be patient when pairing to you Internet and alexa
