    I have Alexis and it was not clear on how to add this to the app. I am sure it is good once you add but I could not.

    Seems to have an issue working beside another smart plug of a different brand. If I separate them it works fine, but must be having some interference issue. Not pleased, since it looks like I may need to move them apart:

    Should've bought a TP Link plug

    I'm one of the lucky few, that got a defective product out of the box. I'm glad it happened immediately instead of a few months from now when I can't return it. Had to download an app to register it, and once I'm through everything it says I have to factory reset cause it want connect. Do that go through the process again only for it to tell me to factory reset again.

    Not-so-smart plug

    I had endless trouble getting this smart plug to work. Returned the first one and eventually the second as well. After countless emails and communication with C by GE's tech support, we could never get these plugs working. I researched and did so much troubleshooting on my own in between the communication with them and never got anywhere worthwhile. I consider myself to be very tech-savvy and it blows my mind how frustrating this was. Especially considering how something with GE's name on it would ever be this much trouble. I have no plans to purchase their Smart home products after that experience. I would not recommend this product.

    Bluetooth not Wi-Fi

    Need to use with Bluetooth rather than Wi-Fi. Bluetooth use too much power with my devices.

    I love that it works as advertised, it helps you to keep your c by ge lights sync and when you set it up with your google or alexa always stays synchronized as well you can setup routines like Christmas lights

    Horrible app! NEVER got to use it because the app couldn't even add it. Called support and they recommended me to get another one. Second one was the same. Waste of time!

      Charles, we certainly regret that you had to endure these experiences with our product. The plug requires a 2.4ghz wifi network and a wpa2 security type to connect and maintain functionality. There are also other things like the internet security type such as wpa3 that can sometimes hinder connectivity depending on the router type. Hopefully that sheds on a little more light. -C by GE Support

    Higher cost for less features

    The relay in all 3 plugs I have only work half the time when connected to a fan. Not reliable on/off for scheduling a fan. Also does not show power consumption like the SmartThings plug does which works with a fan and is cheaper.

    I bought this so that my Christmas lights can turn on automatically but they don’t. I’ve set the proper settings so that they turn on at sunset but I still have to do it manually.

    Okay for some, not for HomeKit or with app alone.

    It may be okay if you're using it with Alexa or Google, but it doesn't work well with HomeKit and I didn't like the C by GE app - plug kept disconnecting. Returned and picked up Philips Hue accessories.

    This would not sink to my Google. The app is just ok but obviously flawed. Good luck pairing it with anything.

    Quit working at 7 months

    Purchased in January. Worked for 7 months, now it will not work at all. I deleated from Alexa and tried to discover again. Does not find it. Tried to set up manully. It is requing a hub. Waste of money.

    I've had this for a few months and I fight with it all the time. I had to set up the cync app to be able to pair this with my Alexa. Half the time when I tell alexa to turn off the lamp that is plugged into this, she tells me that it isn't responding so I have to go into the cync app and turn it off. I will probably end up replacing it.

      This is certainly not how our devices were designed, please ensure you are not logged onto multiple devices with the same login, that the app is up to date and that all firmware is on the latest version. In addition, we suggest power cycling your Amazon Alexa by unplugging the device, waiting one minute and plugging it back in.     Completely unusable on android. You can't even set up a plug since the app won't find your network. But the funny thing is. The app is great on IOS. Finds the network no problem. But I don't feel like grabbing my iPad or iPhone whenever I need to do something with it, and you will. It will disconnect from your network routinely causing you to repeat this process all over again. Go by a plug by Wemo.
