    Looks good cosmetically, but microwave lacks power

    The combo look cosmetically appealing, and fit nicely in our cutouts. However, flash forward over a year, and we find ourselves never using the microwave oven. Reason being, its lacks any significant power and takes forever to heat anything. We have a Panasonic countertop microwave which heats most anything piping hot in 3 minutes. The GE profile hardly gets anything warn in 3 minutes and takes more than double the time to get something hot. For the price, the microwave really sucks. Unlikely to buy the GE Profile brand again.

      Hello Jazz01 - thank you for providing a review of your combination microwave/ wall oven. We're sorry it seems your microwave lacks power. It is a 1000 watt microwave so it should have as much power as other microwaves. Please check your microwave performance by following these steps: 1) Place a glass bowl (preferably a 2qt. Pyrex measuring bowl) with 1qt. of water in the center of the microwave cavity. The water must be 59-75 degrees Fahrenheit (15-24 degrees Celsius). Heat The water for exactly 2 minutes 30 seconds on High (this is the default setting). A temperature rise in the range of 28-40 degrees Fahrenheit (15-22 degrees Celsius) indicates that the oven is cooking properly.     Great upgrade from older model

    We are very pleased with upgrading to this newer GE Profile model. Enhancements are great and the service/installation was on time and the contractors were very professional. Great experience!

    Be Aware - Don't buy GE.

    1.5 years old with 3 repairs and is broke again. Within 6 mos of moving in the oven failed, (Communication Error Lower Oven) after being used 4 times. GE came out and replaced a control board. Worked for another 6 mos and failed just out of warranty. Called GE and they said sorry its out of warranty, charge repair only. Was repaired by another appliance repair under home warranty. Lasted 2 mos and was used once then failed same problem. Home warranty sent a different appliance repair out, they replaced a control board and harness. One month later, same problem. Home warranty says replacement now but will not allow replacement cost. Tried to talk to GE about standing behind their name and appliances with no avail. Like any other big company, customer service is a thing of the past. I would not recommend buying this oven or any GE product no matter how good it looks.

    Been through 4 magnetrons with this microwave. GE providing the repairs. Would never ever recommend this product.

    Not worth buying

    I have now owned two of the GE Profile wall oven/micro combinations and they have both been terrible. The paint on the inside of the micro buckled and peeled and the then the oven stopped working. Not just on one machine on a second one also. The second machine only lasted 2 1/2 years. My advise is not to waste your money.
