We'd like to help go over the sounds you are noticing with your new washer. We recommend checking to make sure that your washer is completely level to the ground, as this helps prevent excessive vibrations and out of balance conditions. When the washer is not leveled it can also cause louder operational sounds, due to the spin cycle overcompensating. You can also check out our article titled "Top Load Washer - Noises Heard During Agitation" located on our GE Appliances website in the support section, to view a list of sounds that are normal and abnormal. We would like to provide some guidance with the fill feature on your unit. This model does have the ability to use a feature called Deep Fill. The Deep Fill feature is for loads where extra water is desired. This feature is recommended for special case loads only, not for typical everyday use. More information about this can be found in the manual (page 14) on the website for review. Regarding the agitator noise level, If you feel your washer is too loud or is making an unusual sound, please review the manual on page 28 to review the normal sounds your unit should make. If you find that this is not what you are hearing or that your unit is not filling properly after reviewing troubleshooting then please reach out to our Bodwell service team for an appointment at 833-426-3393 Monday – Friday: 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. ET Saturday – Sunday: Closed.

While we’re glad you’re happy overall with your washer, we regret that you have a concern with the noise level. You may want to make sure the machine is leveled, to ensure extra vibration isn’t adding to the noise level. If it may be helpful for you, we have more information about sounds the washer may make on page 24 of the manual.
