We'd like to assist with the noise that you're hearing from your washer. To help with the noise, please make sure the washer is properly leveled and all 4 leveling legs are firmly on an even floor space. If this doesn't help with the noise level, we recommend scheduling a service appointment for one of our Bodewell technicians to assess your unit. You can schedule an appointment by calling us at: 833-4BODEWELL (833-426-3393), Monday – Friday: 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. ET, Saturday – Sunday: Closed.

Hi there - We recommend the use of HE detergent with all our washer models. If you're not using HE detergent, this could cause residue buildup. We also recommend closely following the usage directions on the detergent to ensure you're using the right amount of product as using too much could cause this issue as well. Hi there - Thanks for taking the time to reach out. Smart washers and dryers connect to WiFi in one of two ways: Bluetooth connection or by entering an assigned password. We will cover both processes below.
Open the SmartHQ app and sign in. From the Welcome screen, select your brand of appliance, appliance category, and the type of appliance you’re trying to connect. Make sure to allow location access if you're prompted on your smartphone.
Turn on the appliance and initiate the WiFi by following the directions on the SmartHQ app. Once activated on the appliance, the WiFi LED on the display will flash.
If you see a popup screen asking to pair the appliance (Bluetooth):
Select it from that popup and continue.
Choose your home WiFi network from the list.
Select it, enter your WiFi password, and click “Connect.”
If you're prompted to enter a password:
Find the Connected Appliance Info label on the appliance. The label contains the network name and password.
Type in the password from the Info label.
Go to your phone's WiFi settings and choose the network name found on the Info label. This will start communication between the SmartHQ app and the appliance.
When successful, the "Choose home network" screen will appear. Find your home WiFi network and enter your WiFi password to connect the device back to your home network. If you do not see your home network on the list of WiFi networks, choose the "Other" option and enter your network name yourself.
The connection process will begin. The WiFi LED on the washer will stop flashing and will remain solid. Your SmartHQ app will alert you that it’s Connected.
For some models, Bluetooth setup won’t be activated right away. You can manually input your washer or dryer's assigned password to begin the setup by following the "If you're prompted to enter a password" steps above.

Hello- Thanks so much for your purchase! This is a beautiful set! It is normal to hear certain sounds that you may not be used to hearing. A drumming noise is caused by air being pushed out of the basket towards the outer case. This causes the cabinet/outer case to move in and out which may sound like someone is beating on a drum. We have a link with normal sounds that you will hear from your new washer on our site if you'd like to check them out. We also have some optional Anti-Vibration pads that may help! We recommend you review pg. 28 of the owner's manual for a description of different sounds you should expect to hear from your unit. If you still feel the noise is abnormal, we recommend that you schedule a service appointment with one of our qualified GE technicians using the information on pg. 30 of the owner's manual. Hello - If your washer is not spinning, please make sure you have selected a spin option. Also, Make sure the cycle selected matches the load you are washing. We are sorry to hear that your unit hasn’t been washing your clothes as well as expected and can understand your frustration. We would like to provide some guidance to help with this. The first thing to check is to make sure that your unit is not overloaded. It’s recommended to loosely load clothes in the washer basket. For the best results, load items around the outside of the basket. There are more troubleshooting tips to try in your use and care guide which can be found on the website (page23). If you find after troubleshooting that your unit is still causing concern we would suggest calling our service team so that they may properly diagnose what’s happening with your unit. We appreciate you sharing your experience. Your washer will make various sounds throughout the cycle. One of the normal sounds is the motor speeding up incrementally during the spin cycle to reach the maximum spin speed of 800 rpms. This operation allows for superior moisture removal and helps decrease the time needed to dry your items.
