Lid issues

The lid breaks easily and the replacement parts are as much as getting smaller washer. On the replacement website there are no answers besides buying parts. Many others had the same issue. It is coming up on three years having the washer and I believe I can find somthing more reliable and less money than replacing the lid and hinges. The washer costs too much for this design flaw. It doesn't matter if the washer cleans well if it doesn't work.

The reviews never mentioned that everything this type of washer does includes all the benefits of a front loader turned upright. That is quite amazing!

Best Buy shouldn't sell appliances
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I can't give a rating on this appliance yet because we've been waiting to use it for two months. Delivery was delayed several times because the washer comes directly from GE and Best Buy has no control over the delivery. When it was finally delivered and installed after the third day I had water dripping through my kitchen ceiling below the laundry room. When I went to Best Buy to let them know I had to file a claim which took several days to get. Once I received confirmation that the claim was filed I was told someone would be in touch in 5-7 business days. On the 7th day someone sent and email with the claim number saying someone would reach out in 7-10 business days. On the 10th business day someone emailed and said they will escalate it and we should hear from someone in another 7-10 business days. Best Buy contracts with third parties to deal with this so when you go to the store there is nothing they can really do. Absolute joke. Stop selling appliances if you aren't going to take responsibility. Best Buy has no problem taking the money for the appliances but has no recourse when things go wrong for the customer. Worst buying experience I've ever had and you would think they would do more to help resolve this issue. I've been in the store many times and have asked them to take ownership and help us reach out to these other parties to get things repaired and functional. Lesson Learned- Pay more and go to an appliance store to purchase appliances where you will get the service you deserve.

The Department of Energy (DOE) sets standards for washer water usage. Over the years, the amount of allowable water usage has been reduced. With washers using less water and energy, you will no longer see a wash basket full of water. Most washers are now programmed with load sensing to adjust water levels based on the cycle and load size, so the amount of water used will vary. And was told that’s what the new washers sound like. There is no way I would listen to that grinding noise in my house. But Best Buy has good return policy. I exchanged it for a Samsung. Still noisy, but 100% better.

What a great purchase

The directions are simple to follow, it also offers multiple settings for different options. I hope that this washer will last longer than different brand that I owned.
