We recommend checking to make sure that your washer is completely level to the ground, as this helps prevent excessive vibrations and out of balance conditions. When the washer is not leveled it can also cause louder operational sounds, due to the spin cycle overcompensating. You can also check out our article titled "Top Load Washer - Noises Heard During Agitation" located on our GE Appliances website in the support section, to view a list of sounds that are normal and abnormal.
