I have this product for a year now and I wish that I wouldve never purchased it. It takes forever to dry, the fabric refresh somehow leaks and is now staining my clothes, the lint filter doesnt catch half of the debris that is sucked in. Its just awful.

Posted .We know these issues with your dryer must be concerning and we’d like to help. Your feedback will be shared with our team. For an issue with drying, you may want to check the ducting to ensure it’s not obstructed and the fuses/circuit breakers to ensure there’s no issue. Electric dryers often use two fuses/breakers, so if only one is working drying performance can be affected. Regarding the issue with Fabric Refresh, you may want to ensure the tank is placed in the correct position and firmly seated in its compartment. If it may be helpful, troubleshooting tips are available starting on page 15 of the manual; that can be viewed on our GE Appliances website when you look up the model number and go to the product page. The manual also has information on cleaning and maintaining the fabric refresh and lint filter starting on page 13, if that may be useful. If you aren’t able to resolve your concerns and think service may be needed, that department is available at 833-426-3393. A technician will be glad to examine the dryer.

First one we ordered had a loud belt noise that sounded like a car from the 60's that hadn't been maintained ever. Now the replacement one which is a couple weeks old has shut off and will not power back on. Do not buy, I figured GE Profile would be better than this.

Posted .We are saddened to hear about your experience. Please look at the display for an icon that looks like a padlock. If a padlock is visible, press and hold the ecoDry button for a full 3 seconds to unlock the controls. If the issue persists, please disconnect power to your dryer for 2-3 minutes to reset the electronics. If the issue continues once power is restored, please call GE Appliances Service at 1-800-432-2737 to schedule a service appointment to have your dryer properly diagnosed and repaired. We're confident our service team can help.

Beware

I reset the circuit breaker twice. It is plugged into the wall. So something internal is going on. Very unfortunate and it is a weekend.

She absolutely loves it. It's big enough to dry the entire family's clothes at one time and does a wonderful job.

After years of buying from BB, I'm done.

Today (July 2, 2024) we have a tech coming to fix it. Again. Second time it has to be repaired in 14 months. I purchased the My Best Buy membership which is $179 a year. It extends the warranty. The first time they came out it was a factory recall. They ordered the parts and fixed it. Took 2 weeks (waiting for parts) and no charge to me. Well, the same thing is happening. Same issue as in February. So i called to set up an appointment. This time i couldn't get an appointment without paying $85 for the tech to come out. It's a new policy, apparently. I've purchased all my appliances from Best Buy. TVs, washer and dryers, refrigerators, etc. Always keeping the My Best Buy membership these past years. This dryer was the first time I ever needed a tech. And now it's $85. Even though it's the same issue as before? So, it's not been repaired properly but I'll have to give them an additional $85 on top of the yearly money I give them. I'm done with them. I'm already looking for a replacement dryer elsewhere as I feel this issue will probably never be fully repaired. I will never shop at a best buy again!!

Posted .We want to help resolve any issue you're having with the drying time. We recommend making sure there's no issue with the ducting, and it's clean and free of kinks. Making sure the lint filter is clean is also recommended. Troubleshooting tips regarding the drying time are available on pages 15 and 16 of the manual; that manual is available on the Best Buy product page when you view the Features section and scroll to the bottom. We also have an article about the topic on our GE Appliances website, titled "Dryer - Taking Too Long To Dry Clothes or Not Drying at All"; that can be viewed when you look up the title and click the Support tab. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this dryer. We're happy to hear that you're taking advantage of all the different drying settings and that it works fast. Our apologies to hear lint flies out when opening the door. Here are some tips to reduce the amount of lint in your dryer: Make sure vent hose is four (4) inches in diameter, solid metal or aluminum not plastic, and is the proper length per the Installation Instructions.
Clean the vent hose. Build up in the hose can prevent lint and moisture from being vented properly.
Check outside wall cap, and make sure it is opening fully.
Remove and clean the lint filter with soapy water; dry thoroughly before reinstalling. Fabric softener can coat the small openings and allows less lint to pass through. Hope this is helpful. Mike@GEA
