    So far so good. You'd expect no issues since it's brand new right. Will wait 6 months to a year and then see if we encounter any issues with this dryer.

    You could not pay me to purchase the GE Profile Smart Washer & Dryer ever again. We purchased these approximately 18 months years ago. Within that time, it has been replaced FOUR TIMES due to repeated issues with the fabric refresh and computer. Not to mention how many tech visits to try to fix the problems before finally replacing. The washer is no better, we are on our 2nd one due to repeated malfunctions/inoperable to the point they finally replaced it and as of today the replacement is also dead and inoperable. Always a different issue. The 4th dryer now makes a nice rattling sound whenever it’s operating, I’m sure it’s just a matter of a few more days until it also craps out again. They may look cool, but they also feel cheap - hollow plastic, definitely not a quality build. Do yourself a favor, save yourself a ton of time and frustration, and find a different set by a different manufacturer.

    3 repairs in 4 months...not worth it

    I know in giving this dryer one star, there may be a lot of people that gloss over this review. But honestly, I just couldn't rate it any higher. Our dryer was delivered mid-September 2023. It is Feb 1, and we are anticipating our third repair through GE. In addition, our dryer has been out of commission for almost have the time we've owned it while waiting for a repair through GE since it is still covered under warranty. The first time, the heating element completely failed. They replaced the dryer, and things seemed to be working fine - however, a little concerning that within 6 weeks, the heating element already failed. The second time, we started hearing a loud squealing noise coming from the dryer. Maintenance had to replace the bearings, and claimed that we are putting way too many clothes in the dryer. That's confusing, because we put the same amount of clothes as we did our last washer and dryer, and this machine is a much larger capacity. In addition, we are not "overfilling" the machine as he claimed. Sure enough, the next day after the repair guy left our house...the dryer was out again. We keep receiving a fabric refresh door open error. We have shut the and ensure the fabric refresh door is closed and all sensors around it are clean, yet we still receive the same error. We have been waiting for repair for over 2.5 weeks. I am so disappointed, and wish I had never purchased a new machine. For these machines being "the best on the market", the dryer is constantly broken and unfortunately, there is no lemon law in the state of Texas for appliances. In addition, my overall opinion on the washer and dryer is that they are too complicated. There are not enough "pre-set" settings, and too much customization required to get what comes standard in lower end models of other washers and dryers. In addition, some of the settings can only be adjusted through the app, not on the machine itself. There are lower cost units that probably perform better, are more reliable and are less confusing.

    This dryer has to be run 2 to 3 cycles to get the clothes dry. And after 1.5 years, it just goes dark mid-cycle and won't even power on anymore.

      We'd like to help out with the drying performance you are noticing and assist with it no longer powering on. For the poor drying, we recommend checking the ductwork for any obstructions or damage. Make sure the outside wall cap or damper is operating easily. You will also want to check out the lint filter and make sure that it is cleaned before each cycle. The filter can be washed with warm soapy water to remove fabric softener residue from the screen. For help with the unit not powering on, we recommend trying out an electronic reset, which can be done by unplugging the power cord for 2-3 minutes, then plugging it back in. If your dryer still isn't powering on, we suggest scheduling service with our Bodewell team. You can do so by calling 1-833-426-3393. GE_Appliances

Move dryer to an even floor space, or adjust leveling legs as necessary until even. If you feel the noise is abnormal, please review page 16 of the owner's manual for the next step.     I love the many features of this dryer. The app has also been slightly helpful but could use some serious updates. I do notice the fabric refresh compartment can leak a little, I’m pretty sure it isn’t overfilled either.

    Really a fancy dryer, but has consistent problems. First one we ordered had a loud belt noise that sounded like a car from the 60's that hadn't been maintained ever. Now the replacement one which is a couple weeks old has shut off and will not power back on. Do not buy, I figured GE Profile would be better than this.

If a padlock is visible, press and hold the ecoDry button for a full 3 seconds to unlock the controls. If the issue persists, please disconnect power to your dryer for 2-3 minutes to reset the electronics.     For being such an expensive dryer, this thing is awful. Today's dryers are supposed to have sensors to dry clothing dependent on your liking. Even on the "most dry" setting, this things leaves damp spots on clothing. I'm regretting having given up my Samsung dryer which is supposedly inferior.

    We purchased this dryer May 3, 2023. Today (July 2, 2024) we have a tech coming to fix it. Again. Second time it has to be repaired in 14 months. I purchased the My Best Buy membership which is $179 a year. It extends the warranty. The first time they came out it was a factory recall. They ordered the parts and fixed it. Took 2 weeks (waiting for parts) and no charge to me. Well, the same thing is happening. Same issue as in February. So i called to set up an appointment. This time i couldn't get an appointment without paying $85 for the tech to come out. It's a new policy, apparently. I've purchased all my appliances from Best Buy. TVs, washer and dryers, refrigerators, etc. Always keeping the My Best Buy membership these past years. This dryer was the first time I ever needed a tech. And now it's $85. Even though it's the same issue as before? So, it's not been repaired properly but I'll have to give them an additional $85 on top of the yearly money I give them. I'm done with them. I'm already looking for a replacement dryer elsewhere as I feel this issue will probably never be fully repaired. I will never shop at a best buy again!!
