    This dryer needs to get its sensors recalibrated cause the water level is way to low. The buttons upon pushing wont work unless you push them very hard and more then once. The dryer door says open when its running all the time.

    Good dryer. I like the feature that a talks to the washer to know what cycle to be put on so it’s a lot less work when have I g a lot of laundry. The only thing I don’t like is the eco dry I feel it does dry good on when that is on

    Barely works when it does work

    This dryer has been nothing but problems. Within a month of having it, it wouldn’t do anything when you started a cycle. Geek squad tried to repair it multiple times to no avail. Then GE sent someone out and they said it was repaired but it would take hours to dry a normal to small load of laundry. Now it again isn’t doing anything when you start a cycle.

    This dryer is noisy with a clanging loose piece of metal noise similar to when you have a loose zipper inside. Just to double check it I ran several times with just socks. Same noise.

      Hi there, and thanks for reaching out. We regret that you have an issue with the dryer making an unexpected sound – we know this may be concerning. We do expect the dryer to make some noise as it operates, including a temporary squeak when it first starts and the sound of the drum as it turns. Making sure the dryer is level can help reduce noise. You may also want to check to make sure there are no foreign objects in the drum or below the lint filter (we would recommend wearing a pair of work gloves if you need to reach into the lint filter opening and using caution, as the edges may be sharp). We have additional details on dryer noise, including tips on how to possibly address it, in an article on our GE Appliances website titled ‘Dryer – Noises’. If you search for that phrase and click the ‘Support’ tab, you can view that article. If you aren’t able to resolve this issue and think service may be needed, that department can be reached at 1-800-432-2737 ; a technician can certainly examine the unit for any issues.     Do not buy, it takes forever to dry. I have this product for a year now and I wish that I wouldve never purchased it. It takes forever to dry, the fabric refresh somehow leaks and is now staining my clothes, the lint filter doesnt catch half of the debris that is sucked in. Its just awful.

      We know these issues with your dryer must be concerning and we’d like to help. Your feedback will be shared with our team. For an issue with drying, you may want to check the ducting to ensure it’s not obstructed and the fuses/circuit breakers to ensure there’s no issue. Electric dryers often use two fuses/breakers, so if only one is working drying performance can be affected. Regarding the issue with Fabric Refresh, you may want to ensure the tank is placed in the correct position and firmly seated in its compartment. If it may be helpful, troubleshooting tips are available starting on page 15 of the manual; that can be viewed on our GE Appliances website when you look up the model number and go to the product page. The manual also has information on cleaning and maintaining the fabric refresh and lint filter starting on page 13, if that may be useful. If you aren’t able to resolve your concerns and think service may be needed, that department is available at 833-426-3393. A technician will be glad to examine the dryer. GE_Appliances

    Loving it so far! Only used a couple of weeks, but expecting it to use less energy than my old one. And Best Buy service and support are top notch!

    Could only give one star…I’m hoping this was just an issues for me. The dryer was good for the first 3 loads then died on the 4th load less than 12 hours after installation. Had another one delivered as a replacement a few days later, but could not use because both sides were dented to the point that the drum could not turn. Very highly rated, but feels fragile compared to other brands. The metal is just thin. Ended up replacing with another set (from another brand). Too bad, because the washing machine that goes with it was really good and was the perfect height for my wife…

    DO NOT BUY THIS. I was so excited about this washing machine. It was supposed to do everything I wanted. It worked great for the first 18 days. Day 20 it broke and wouldnt power on. I called Best Buy to return it to get a new one. Best Buy only honors return for 15 days. I called GE and they did come out and fix but at this price point it shouldnt be breaking when its only 20 days.

    Wrong buy

    I thought this dryer is amazing, but eventually it degraded its performance. after 6 months of use it started giving us problems, contacted best buy team for service. they fixed it two times and now it started with issues again. sorry GE.

    It arrived broken along with the washer. Yes, neither one worked. And I had to wait 5 days for them to come and get them because the delivery driver said he couldn't take it back.

    Decent for a while but died in less than a year.

    Worked for a while now 10 months after purchase dead and GE is going to repair but I'm without a dryer for 2 weeks. Now we have no dryer until mid-November and are having to use a laundromat. I have owned several washers and dryers in the past and never have I experienced a 2 week repair time under warranty.

Please accept our apologies as we do understand your disappointment and the inconvenience this is causing you. If you have not already done so, we recommend locating the circuit breaker box or fuse panel in your home, turn off the breakers to the dryer for 2-3 minutes to reset the electronics. We also recommend you check the venting on the back of the dryer and the vent cap on the outside of your home for any obstruction or restriction. Try the various cycles like Timed Dry, Normal or Towels to see if the dryer will function at all. If you continue to have issues, we are confident our service team will be able to assist you further.
