When the eDry button is pressed, cycle settings change to reduce the total energy consumption of the selected sensor cycle. Steps to take:
-Check the latest version of the SmartHQ app on your phone. The version on the phone should match the most current version of the SmartHQ app in the Apple App Store or Google Play.
-If the version on your phone is an older version of the SmartHQ app, update the SmartHQ app.
-If you can't update the SmartHQ app, delete it from your phone and re-install it.

So far, I have thoroughly enjoyed this dryer. Im able to connect via wifi and time my loads to complete with the washer. The color is nice. Compared to standard white. The see through door is a plus for me.

Posted .We are sorry to hear you're having this issue with your dryer. We'd like to help! Your dryer has a feature called Eco Dry/eDry. Cycle times will change when eDry is selected. The eDry option will default to "on" for Cottons. For optimal drying times, turn eDry off. Energy savings will vary across loads and cycles. We also recommend making sure your outside venting isn't blocked with any lint or debris that should be cleaned out. If you continue to have issues, please take advantage of your warranty and reach out to Bodewell Service by calling 1-833-426-3393 between 8:00-8:00 EST. Joyce@GEAppliances

Especially don't buy this if you own anything >5 years old GE. The first dryer I've ever owned that actually doesn't dry clothes. Normal setting defaults to the midpoint between "Damp" and "Very Dry" settings. When you manually select Very Dry, Eco mode turns on. Guess what? Eco mode = no heat. That's right folks, you get cold and soaked clothes after an hour. You can't make this up. Even turning off Eco mode, the clothes are still damp coming out of the dryer. The lint screen is less than half the size of my 5 year old GE dryer in another house and this new unit weights less than half of the older one. Quality has gone the way of the shareholders. We will be returning these.

Posted .This unit has a Max Dry option; however, ecoDry should not come on automatically. You can disable ecoDry by pressing the pad. Furthermore, ecoDry uses a lower heat setting to reduce the total energy consumption of the selected sensor cycle. If your clothes are not drying properly, please view a helpful troubleshooting article on our GE Appliances website titled "DRYER - TAKING TOO LONG TO DRY CLOTHES." If you continue having issues with your unit, we recommend utilizing the warranty by scheduling service. You can do so by calling GE Appliance Service at 1-800-GECares (1-800-432-2737) or scheduling online. We hope this helps!
