If you notice that your clothes take longer than usual to dry, please refer to the troubleshooting guide on page 12 of the owner's manual. The manual can be found in the 'From The Manufacturer' tab, and then scroll down to the bottom of that tab. We are confident that following the guide will help you resolve the issue promptly.

We appreciate you sharing your experience with the noise and drying performance of your dryer. While some sound is normal during operation, we recommend reviewing the “Dryer – Noises” article in the Support section of our GE Appliances website for a guide to common sounds and their causes. It’s also important to ensure the dryer is level both front-to-back and side-to-side, as uneven placement can increase noise. For improved drying results, try selecting “Max Dry” option, make sure the exhaust system is clear, and review the “Clothes take too long to dry” section on page 12 of your Owner’s Manual for more helpful tips. We appreciate you rating this beautiful dryer. Our apologies to hear that your clothes were not drying and that you needed an exchange. When clothes are taking a long time to dry or do not seem to be drying, the below troubleshooting tips can correct the problem. Venting:

Using the proper venting material and making sure the vent ductwork is the proper length is very important to the operation of a dryer. GE Appliances recommends the use of a solid metal vent pipe 4" in diameter for adequate operation. 4" diameter flexible metal venting may be used but will increase the drying time. GE Appliances does not recommend the use of flexible, white, plastic vent pipe. Cleaning and Operation:

Remove and clean the lint filter each time it is used. The filter can be washed with warm soapy water to remove fabric softener residue from the screen.

Check the household fuse or circuit breaker that supplies power to the dryer. Make sure they are not burned out or tripped.

There may be too many items in the dryer. Only dry one wash load at a time. We hope this information helps. Let us know if you need anything. Mike@GEA
