Garbage - Possible Fire Hazard

Paid $700 for this dryer and dropped it on a 12 month interest-free BestBuy card. 13 months to the day of purchase the heat stopped working. Paid $150 appliance repair for a melted wire attached to the heating element. 3 days later it melted again. Warranty was up by 10 days and GE refused to stand by their product.

Not very well built

I dried a pair of California King sheets in it and all it did was roll them into a big ball. I never had that issue with my old set. Since it's washer partner was terrible we returned both to the store.

Around the 15-month mark, it started losing heat intermittently, and over time, it stopped heating altogether. After researching the issue, it seems this is a common problem with this model—many others have reported the same heating failure. Unfortunately, we’re now in the position of having to replace it entirely. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this dryer. Sounds like there should be a recall.
