It is quite quiet compared to other ACs and has various features as well. However, keep in mind, the lowest temperature it can go down to is 64 °F. Nonetheless, it is a great AC and I am satisfied with this purchase.

Must be a dud of a unit.

Turned unit back on in March. No cooling , no compressor and useless. Returned, no replacement unit available anywhere. Not even GE website. No longer available. All I could get is a store credit. Ordered a one size smaller unit for $21.00 more. Stay tuned you won't believe what happened next.

Cools well

I got it cause it was the only ac that fit my window. I love that I can set up schedules for it since I have pets at home. It will definitely cool 450 sq ft

Buy Something Else

Check Reddit before you buy to read about it. Best Buy leaves you stranded with these things quickly - but refers you to GE for issues. It runs the return period out fast and GE is bad about returning calls. I bought three of these. One worked fine last season. One stopped working after one season. The other didn’t even work out of the box. Getting the last one replaced under warranty was nothing short of a nightmare. It took nearly 10 months to get a refund from GE on the Unit. Best Buy was of NO help in the situation. There are better units from Midea and Hisense imho. They have better warranties for sure. (3 years and 2 years respectively)

Broke in less than a year

Used for only 4 month and the pump that send water out of unit died. It’s on back order and no date as to when it will be available. Paid for 4 year extended warranty and can’t even use it to get replacement because I’m still covered under manufacturer warranty!

It's okay.

Posted .It's normal to hear some noise from the a/c unit during operation. We recommend that you take a look at the "Normal Operating Sounds" section on pg. 17 of the Owner Manual. To help with the rattling issue, make sure the unit is properly installed using the Installation Instructions on pages 9-15. Thanks for sharing your feedback. -Don@GEAppliances

To heavy and difficult to install
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.If you live in a a apartment in NYC don't buy this kind of AC, Bestbuy use UPS to deliver now and it took more than 2 week in Manhattan and they don't install it, is very complicated to install and very heavy, I will return it!

GE Junk

All of a sudden it will vibrate the whole house. Like a washing machine getting out of balance. Great idea and loved it for 48 hours. I see other complaints. Returning and won't replace. Look into a mini split.

Best A/C ever Quiet

We can now watch TV without have the volume up crazy high because of the A/C. This is the next best thing to Mini Splits. Do think on it buy it.
