I run the cleaning function every 3-4 weeks with distilled vinager then bottled water. One day it was making much louder noises and "moans" that you could hear all the way across the house. Then a couple hours later it leaked out all the water from the machine and side tank all over my countertop, cabient and floor. I took the back panel off to see what it could have been. It looks like something has completely broken apart which caused all the water to drain out. Not happy since this is one of the most expensive nugget ice maker you can buy. We expected better quality at this price point. Bad thing is were also past our return date so were stuck with trying to fix this machine.

We're not sure if you're aware, but this machine does have a one year limited warranty starting from the date of purchase. We recommend that you review pages 19-20 of the owner's manual for information on how you could possibly take advantage of the limited warranty. Please let us know if you need additional assistance. I use distilled water to prolong the required weekly cleaning, and it is paying off. The city water we have is filtered but still has calcium that deposits over time. So far , no noise is coming from the machine as some have complained due to water quality being used. My wife and I enjoy the “rabbit ice” and will for years. Our 3 year old granddaughter loves to eat the ice too.

The ice maker is 5 star there was a small Shipping delay but it was the holiday season. I give my experience a 4.5 stars and look forward to doing more business with best buy.

Cleaning is very taxing although I made sure to clean frequently. I stopped using for one year (after craving a dwindled post iron infusions) and tried to clean and operate machine today. Machine will NOT enter a successful cleaning cycle. The building in the water line tubes is disgusting and even regular cleaning will leave buildup and there’s no way to fully remove tube to clean sufficiently. I strongly suggest looking for a simpler nugget ice make that allows for easy cleaning. While it worked, it was a nice machine for the most part. Even with regular cleaning the buildup is insane. Pictures included.

It was working amazing for a few months then out of nowhere it started leaking. It leaks all the water added as soon as it is added. I am extremely disappointed I haven’t even finished paying it. It was amazing while it worked and now I have an expensive useless machine! In the image that’s where it is leaking from and the motor is right before doesn’t seem very safe! Safety concerns overload. It is disconnected now. But frustrated and annoyed and angry over this.
