Called GE to report problem and they said to just returned it to Best Buy and get a new one. Returned to Best Buy and picked up new unit with out any hassles. Great investment and got lots of compliments from friends and family about the ice at the next party we hosted.

If you are looking for something that makes a large volume you'd be more satisfied with a larger unit. For my needs this is working fine
