    I love the nugget ice but I am now on my second machine and they both have made this horrible squealing noise when it is dropping ice. I have looked at possible fixes and they all say it needs to be cleaned but that does not make sense when it is brand new. I followed all the instructions on what you are supposed to do before using it. Paying almost $600 for this I expect it not to make this crazy noise. This will be going back. Very disappointed and I have some very sad kids that LOVE this ice.

    I am absolutely in love with this ice maker. I can have tne chewable, "good ice" any time I feel the urge. Machine is quiet enough that it does not bother me while I'm watching television. My husband purchase this for me as a birthday gift and i couldn't be happier. I love to ice and this machine helps with my cravings.

    The family loves it. The only thing is after a few months out stopped pumping water from reservoir so i had to return.

    The original unit that we received functioned properly for about 3 weeks. After that time, it started making a horrible screeching sound while it was in defrosting mode. The noise was incredibly loud - about the volume of someone yelling. Obviously there was an issue The manufacturer replaced the unit under warranty without much hassle. Unfortunately, the replacement unit began making a similar, albeit slightly quieter noise while defrosting. We are now beginning the warranty process again in hopes to get a functioning unit or refund. I purchased this unit originally, despite being considerably more expensive than other options, hoping that it would be a higher quality unit. There are obviously some design issues or a lack of quality control on these units. I am HIGHLY disappointed.
