LOVE the ice maker & ice size. But it started making a weird noise. of course after the return/exchange date. VERY pricy

Noisy/Loud, takes very few “breaks” and seems to run almost around the clock; requires sanitizing and/or descaling often…too often…and the process of sanitizing and descaling is extremely tedious, time consuming, and inefficient if not ineffective. Lots of vinegar, bleach required. Unit is very heavy and difficult to carry or move when cleaning. Wife loves the final product (nugget size ice) but we’ve had it just under 1 year and it has started making a terribly loud/new sound, like the motor or “guts” are on their last leg. Would definitely not recommend for the nearly $600 price! GE had this product made overseas somewhere; it shows!

My daughter said this is the best thing we ever got for the kitchen! Super easy to fill water and setup, makes ice fast and easy to use. Love it!

For a nugget ice machine, this is perfect! I wanted some way to get more fluids into myself and my kids, so i figured an ice machine would be perfect. I picked this one because, lets face it...no one truly loves the bullet ice. They just tolerate it. Let me tell you, I have not been disappointed yet. If anything, im disappointed in myself for not being able to get through the ice as quickly as it makes it. If I had one suggestion for anyone looking to purchase this machine, it would be to use distilled water. I buy it for $0.99/gal at the store and it makes it not only have better tasting ice, but its overall better for the machine.

We Love it! We had another one that was loud and broke plastic pieces inside of it. This one is great with my 19 month old grandson sleeping during nap times now. Also, this is great ice I use Brita water so it's been working GREAT! Love the option to have the side tank as my husband uses alot of ice when he gets home.

As much as we love the ice and capacity of this ice maker, with how much we have spent on this thing, we have had to replace it 6x in the past 4 years we have had it. I don’t recommend it. We have it had twice start leaking water profusely from underneath, three times now start making the most horrendous noises that can be heard throughout our entire house and once just quit working. Each time we were able to just have it replaced. Now we are told that was just a “courtesy” and they were wrong for doing that and it should have been sent out for repair each of those times. This time they have to send it out for repair and that will take weeks. It is October and we have only had this one since March. We initially bought our original one for $699 before tax. Absolute rip off with how many times we have had this thing replaced. With how much money we spent on this ice maker and it being under warranty, I can’t go with not replacing it but to say we are disappointed is putting it nicely. I do not recommend this to anyone. The longest one we had was just over a year. I would like to add we also have family members that have also bought one and have had to replace theirs in less than a year as well.

The ice is perfect nugget ice and the machine produces a lot. My only concern so far is that directions indicate it should be cleaned once a week. That is a lot of work for once a week!

Bought for a small office setting. Easy set up. The side tank is perfect for the amount of use and is easy to refill when needed. No issues with the product at this time.

It's a wonderful ice maker, This is our second one, Our old one is 6 years old, Used it everyday, It still works fine, no problems at all.

I liked the idea of a freestanding unit because ice-makers built in to refrigerators notoriously break down. When I saw this unit makes softer ice pellets like what you'd get at Sonic, I decided on this model. I'm well pleased and the money I'm saving on Sonic's "Ocean Water" will pay for this machine... in maybe ten years at this rate, ha. Don't judge the first pieces of ice that get made, they were kind of extra-hard and I got worried. A couple hours in I had some nice, more "fluffy" pieces. Mind you, the texture is not fluffy like shaved ice, but not rock solid either. This machine is giving the unanticipated bonus of helping me increase my water intake, so I'm happy all around.

My family and I absolutely love this ice machine. It makes great ice, its easy to clean. Very quiet and worth the money!

If you like the nugget ice this is the ice maker for you. Now it is a bit noisy that’s for sure. But if you can get past the noise I think you’ll be happy with the output of ice.

I have ice now fast and a lot of ice more then my refrigerator put out faster than my refrigerator and more than my federator thank you I got ice

Love it!!!! I haven’t used my ice maker in my fridge since getting this. My kids like it so much that they will stop and pick up a ziplock bag full. Always enough ice. Easy to set up!

It makes a lot of ice fast. However, because if this we have to constantly refill the water tank. It would be a much better machine for us if we had a firect line of water accessible to feed the ice maker instead of having to manually fill it a couple times a day.

Great machine, love the small ice chips but it is a little loud
