Ice Ice baby!!

I read a lot of reviews, most were good, but knowing some one who had it and really liked it was all I needed. It did not disappoint! I’ve had it now for about a month. Sonic ice whenever I want it! My best purchase this summer!

Granddaughters have to get a cup every time they visit. They love how it’s like their favorite fast food ice. It does make the oddest sounds, but we got used to it.

You mentioned the odd sounds it makes and we understand how it can take a bit of time to get used to new sounds. To cover all our bases, please make sure you have 3" of air clearance on all sides and the back of the unit. This is a great addition for their busy household and it makes great chewable ice. Easy to chew on the ice and no worries about breaking your teeth.

Makes smaller ice cubes than traditional built in ice makers, which are perfect for everyday drinks or cocktails. It’s been a hit with both kids and adults.

Pricey but not a single regret!

I’ve been spoiled with fine ice now and it’s the first machine I turn on in the morning. Get the extended warranty for peace of mind.

Some reviews say it’s noisy, I don’t hear it at all, it in the gameroom/bar. It makes the PERFECT ice for drinks, AND blending frozen drinks. We’ve had ppl over and it keeps up. Made a bunch and stored it to use when hunting. BEST PURCHASE

I’ve been researching and waiting for the price to drop to make it make sense. Glad it was purchased. It gets used every day, several times a day. No more ordering drinks just for the ice.

I haven’t found it to be noisy at all. Takes up about as much space as the kitchen aid mixer that is now in a cupboard. Ice melts slowly. Looks cool with the light on. Yeah it is expensive. But if you want to spoil yourself or your household this is the thing.

I have watched YouTube reviews for over 2 years. This generation or make is the best. I have not had any problems at all. I purchase it before Father's Day for a gift for my husband, but really it was for me the wife. I am loving my GE Profile Opal 2.0

Love the ice, maker can be occasionally loud. At one year and 2 months I discovered a puddle in my pantry, the ice machine had been leaking down my cabinet, under my refrigerator and into the pantry. Taking the covers off the unit to check for leaky connections I discovered the gearbox was rusty and crusty. It's leaking water from the seal. This has to have been going on for many months, but the way the inside is designed it wasn't noticed until the leak was bigger. Reaching out to Opal repair, they want $250 to look at it and if they decide it cant be fixed they keep it and send me back $125. This is an expensive item to have last a year. Get the extended warranty if you are serious about your ice.
