But when defrost comes on it makes really loud noises, which it seems like it does all the time. Really annoying at night when trying to sleep

When the Opal Ice Maker initiates the defrost cycle, you may hear a squeaking sound when the ice is being melted. Starts making some ice in around 15 min. Probably an hour to 1.5 hours to fill up the bucket. Perfect for at home drinks. I do wish the bucket was bigger so there was more ice when we all leave the house we could all fill up our bottles. But not a huge deal overall it's enough for what we need. Ice comes out in perfect pellets. Only downside is it is a little on the pricey side.

My first GE Opal Ice machine broke and best buy asked if i had warranty. I informed him that i did and with no hesitation he went to get a replacement and walked out with a new one. I always tell people if you going to buy go to best-buy..
