Overall makes great "sonic" ice! That being said, every time you open the door to get ice out of it, a moderate amount of water drips out onto the tray in the front. Which is why I guess they included it, but I would expect that the design itself would be a little better for this not to occur literally every single time.

We love this ice machine. We have had it a year and a half and it still works like it’s brand new. This is the most used item in our house. Must buy!

excellent product. produces ice very rapidly. It doesn't maintain the ice however due to lack of insulation in the bin.

Easy setup, we absolutely love it. Doesn't fit under the cabinet but still well worth the space it tskes.

Buyer beware! Unit began to leak just 5 weeks after warranty ended. They want $250 to ship it back to them to attempt a repair. If they can’t fix it, they will scrap it. An appliance this expensive shouldn’t be disposable. When it worked, it was great. Unfortunately they do not seem to want to stand by their product. There are any similar stories of failed units.

We had the older GE Opal and finally decided to upgrade to this one. We’re in love with the new one as the scoop and basket of ice have been greatly improved. The overall design is also better. We’ve had zero issues with ours and highly recommend it for anyone who doesn’t have easy access to ice.

I love this machine it’s just so perfect and the ice I like the size of the nuggets.

Honest review from someone who was very hopeful. Our refrigerator broke and this was going to be a quick interim solution to have ice. Oh not so easy. We followed every instruction 100% because we really needed ice until we can decide on our fridge. But to my surprise, this $500 machine does not do anything that is promised. You fill up the water tank and it literally dumped water into the ice tank, melting all of your ice and then makes more ice but it can’t make enough ice to fill up the ice tank I really do not recommend this to anybody unless you want to deal with problems. You can see in the picture that the water falls and melts the ice. Buyer beware.
