Bought this for my husband but we all love it. Only complaint is that it can be a little noisy. So far satisfied with the purchase.

I bought this for my son and daughter in law for Christmas and they love it. It makes the perfect amount of ice for their family. It's also nice that you don't have to have special water line to use it.

So far the ice maker is operating very well. It makes ice quickly and it is quieter than the first model. This is my second opal ice maker.

Ordered as a gift for my wife. It makes a ton of ice. No more trips to the ice machine for fancy ice!

Yes, I splurged and bought this machine not without criticism from my husband. But I absolutely love it! And its getting me to drink more water, about 6 bottles a day!

The most frustrating kitchen appliance I have ever owned! Does it make great ice? Yes. Will it break on you? Almost definitely! It worked great for a couple of months, then suddenly the "Add Water" light starts coming on. I have spent so much time, resources, and effort cleaning and trying to keep this machine going; but I have finally given up. It has been thrown into the junk pile. Conclusion. Do not waste your money on this machine. For the cost of this machine, and the cost of supplies to clean it constantly, you are better off going to Sonic everyday! This machine is not cheap. That's a lot of trips to Sonic!

Great ice! Easy to set up and works pretty quickly.

After about a week of making great ice the maker started a horrible squeaking sound when making ice. After about a month now it still squeaks and super annoying. Will be assessing our options for replacement.

Excellent product. Little pieces of chunky nugget ice start coming out after 15 minutes. Once you've had them you are hooked.

My family has owned 4 of these in the last 5 years. Four have died and the 5th one is about to bite the dust. I will never purchase another. These were produced by another company and purchased by GE ( the only reason we bought a couple more) They always seem to be just out of warranty when they quit working And at 500.00 + per unit can't be justified. Not all of these units were purchased at Best buy this is more of a rating review for the GE product. I guess I find it hard to believe some folks give this a great review. From our experience it is not an issue of when it will go bad ( all mechanical/electrical appliances will stop working) it's a question of how quickly it will go bad.

After only two years with cleaning as recommended it makes awful grinding noises and quits working. 600 dollars for only two years of use is ridiculous. Of course they only cover a year warranty bc they know these will break down. Do not buy, its not worth it!
