Amazing , Great Quality and Useful

I saw this product over social media for a while and I was always tempted to buy it, but thought it was a little pricey. After getting it I would say it’s totally worth the money. I have had for like 2 months now, and have used it every single day.

Exceeded my expectations!! Easy to set up and use. I run it once a week and bag quart ziplocs of ice for the other days. If you lie them flat they stack nicely in the freezer and break apart easily.

I dont think there is anything better that i could have gotten her. She loves crushed ice from the store and this ice maker is as close as youll get. She absolutely loves it.

It is important to use filtered water for the reservoir bc over time hard water build up causes it to make ice very loudly. I recommend the protection plan as I had to use it once. It is very nice to fill reservoir and come back and ice is ready all the time.

Bit for 600.00 this thing should not leak water out of the drawer when you open it and the noise...oh no when it decrosts and screechea at you til you wanna leave the room!!!

Purchased because built in fridge ice maker broke. Glad this choice was made over the built in. Excellent ice, quiet operation, can be monitored with app on cell phone.

It has an easy keep full method, and the ice is wonderful! It is quiet and can keep up with my husband who is an ice junky. It is so much better than the original firstbuild model we had--it did last over 4 years even with its design flaws--I am hoping this pretty model lasts just as long.

We finally got the GE Opal and it is a beast, constant ice all the time. We are constantly using it and we are never out of ice.

The reservoir doesn’t work great even though I followed all instructions and set it up as directed. Also, it makes a TERRIBLE sound that is very loud. It’s so loud my dog barks at it angrily as if it’s the vacuum. The nugget ice is nice, and I like the UV cleaning button but it is no where worth the price. I had an ice machine prior to this that I got off Amazon for $100 and I would probably just buy that one again if I had the option. Due to the price I am now stuck with this one for a while.

Posted .We’re so glad you’re overall happy with your Opal, but we do hate to hear you have some concerns regarding the noise level. We do expect the Opal to make some sounds as it operates, and hard surfaces like the walls, countertops and floor may amplify the sounds. If it may be helpful, we have more information regarding what noises the unit may make on page 13 of the manual; if you’d like to view that manual, you can do so on our GE Appliances website when you look up the model number and go to the product page. We’re confident your Opal will work well for a long time to come!

But other than that i love my ice machine!!
