It has issues with saying it needs water and it doesn't. The know it's an issue because they tell you how to fix it however they need to fix it before selling it to people.

Makes great ice but the unit is junk

It makes amazing ice, but within 3 weeks of plugging it in it started making these horrible screeching noises. It was just once every few days at a first and now it is almost constant. It puts itself in defrost mode at least once an hour and is so loud it’s hard to watch tv 20 feet away. I am calling Best Buy tomorrow to return it. We have barely had it a month, and it’s awful. Which is sad because I love the ice it makes. However, it was way too expensive to be this loud and screechy. Now I see so many people have had the same problems with just a couple of weeks after purchase.

The “Good Ice”

I bought this initially because my mom always asked for Sonic ice but after making the investment, I didn’t realize just how much I would love the convenience of having the “good ice” in my kitchen and not having to go to Sonic.
