I saw the poor reviews but went against my better judgement because there were many people who loved it. It’s not just noisy while running (that I can get over), it must be unplugged and cleaned with vinegar every 7 days because it makes world’s worst screeching noises and completely stops making ice. For such an expensive appliance, it should not have to be drained and scrubbed so often to even work!!

Posted .Hello- Thakns so much for your purchase! Nugget ice is full of tiny air bubbles that give it a bumpy surface. (That texture is where the name "pebble ice" comes from.) Those little gaps make the surface thinner, so it takes a lot less chomping strength to get through. Basically it is lighter, fluffier, and easier to chew than ordinary ice cubes and we are glad you are loving it! If you have any questions in the future, please let us know. We are here to help! Great for Ice…But Loud and Painful

We purchased it and purchased the 2 year Geek Squad warranty just to have it malfunction and stop working 8 months later. We received a replacement and now the replacement has also malfunctioned; however, the replacement’s malfunction still technically is working it just makes a REALLY LOUD Screaming-Stretching noise that is heard day and night throughout our 4-story home. It’s as painful as hearing nails scratching a chalkboard. It is Terrible! I would not recommend!
