Don’t expect GE to stand behind this very expensive icemaker. The nugget ice is brilliant to begin with and then the machine starts making a horrible rattling noise. Ours has stopped working at a year and a half all together with the recommended regular maintenance. It stopped recognizing the side reservoir had water and kept saying it was empty. Then I noticed it was leaking on the counter beneath it. Really disappointed.

Bought this for my wife. She absolutely loves this ice machine. If our house ever caught on fire, I am sure you would see her run out of the house with this in her arms!

We recently purchased this ice machine for our break room. Daily I need ot restart the ice machine, unplug it, then plug it back in and drain the reservoir at least 2 time before it will start making ice. Once it works it works, but be prepared to spend at least 20-30 minutes of your day babysitting it to make sure it starts working.

I ahve wanted one of these for a long long time.... Finally one day it was on sale and I thought, why not... Bought it , love it. Use it every day!

if i could ask for anything, it is for the tray to hold the ice a bit cooler. it is sort of flimsy and ice melts a bit quick.

I bought this for my second house that I only go to on the weekends so I really like the Wi-Fi programmable feature. I only program it to run just before I get there so I have ice when I arrive.

So happy with this purchase. Super easy to use and produces a great product. I love the app feature. If I had a complaint it would be that there isn’t a scoop holder. But I really love this item.

Great little ice machine that makes the pellet ice, like chic filet and sonic. Kids love it and great for cocktails ( reason I bought)

I really wanted to like this. It has a sleek look that blends in with other modern consumer appliances. But, as others have stated the problems started around week 2 and have just continued to get worse. First its the screeching while making ice, then it doesnt sufficiently pump water from the reserve tank, then it stops realizing that the tank is out of water and the grears start grinding and making the worst noise you can imagine from an appliance, then to top it off, they have used some sort of plug from the 1950s that isn’t ergonomically designed and nearly requires pliers to take out of the outlet. Thats quite a problem when the machine has to be unplugged to avoid blood-curdling noise of mechanical death. This was a great concept but, and this comes from someone who works in the development of consumer products, this was an absolute DESIGN FAIL from top to bottom.

First one we purchased from Amazon was defected. Bought the second one at best buy. No issues so far after a couple months of moderate usage.

Looks great, works until defrost mode that ot goes into a lot.

The kids love the "crunchy" ice. The ability to schedule it to turn on is nice and saves energy. Looks great on the counter.

When my refrigerator's ice maker broke for rhe third time in 4 years i defided to opt for a countertop option. Tried a budget model first but then decided to jump on this option for larger water capacity and nugget ice production. Value for the $ is probably not all there, but if cost is not the primary concern you won't be disappointed.
