Love this. My dream come true! Makes ice quickly and efficiently. Cleaning is kinda a pain, but at only once a month it’s doable.

This ice machine is awesome! Was it spendy? Yes. Was it worth the price so my addicted to eating poop ice wife is happy? DEFINITELY! The setup was easy. Just takes a little time. The packaging was surprisingly substantial to protect the ice maker. Didn't expect to find wood panels on the top and bottom. It made ice within just a few minutes and we have yet to run out. All i can say is make sure you ONLY put distilled water in it. Love the color we chose. The stainless is a classic color. The LED light is a real nice touch. When snagging some ice in the dark and it almost makes it glow. Also, like that we can take it with us in the RV and have ice any time. It will hold a full gallon of water. Fill the side reservoir, add some water to the tank the resevoir sits in and then dump the rest in the reservoir under the ice bin. I highly recommend this ice maker!

I love this ice maker, it makes up to 3 lbs of little nugget ice cubs. It works great. Easy to use. Perfect for summer or all year long.

We like the ice maker but it is nosier than our older one. Have to clean and is a little more complicated to clean than our other model we had.

Extremely easy to use and works flawlessly upgraded from the 1.0 so I could have a bigger ice capacity and faster ice creation!

Wanted a nugget ice machine; works good as it should!

This ice maker is a great compliment to regular freezer made ice cubes. It makes ice instantly at a pretty rapid pace. I wouldn't use it as my main ice maker since my family uses a lot of ice. It fits perfectly on my countertop under my cabinets.

Makes ice fairly quickly, no problems with it at all. It does have a small noise while it’s making noise, not very noticeable. But that’s expected. A little on the pricey side but it is very high quality appliance.

We love the Sonic ice! Easy to clean! Just add water. Makes ice quickly and quietly

Love it! My kids eat the ice all day long. Only complaint would be that when it’s making the ice, which is almost all the time it can get a little noisy.

This is the second Opal we have owned. The ice is great nugget ice. Ice is made fast enough for a standard family or small gatherings. With the attached reserve tank it needs to be refilled about once a day or less. Absorbs the flavor of drinks well and easy to chew.

Worked great and made amazing ice for 10 months. We regularly cleaned it and only used filtered water. About 11 months in, it began taking longer to make ice. Now, at 11.5 months, it is making the most horrendous, grinding and squealing noises. The only way to stop it is to unplug it for a few seconds. It then stops, but it starts making them again in a couple of hours. Bad unit, or VERY expensive junk?? Whichever it is, it needs to be fixed, because $500 is too expensive for this thing not to last several years (especially when we clean it often and only use filtered water!!)

I have seen many negative reviews between multiple websites, however, I have had no issues with my machine. I ONLY use purified water in it, and only clean it every 5-6 weeks. It has been running like a charm since November 2020. I think the key is to NOT use tap water. By using purified water, which we have at home in the 5-gallon bottles, it keeps the machine cleaner. It would be nice if the app allowed you more control over the device, like make ice for the next hour(You have to set a schedule to make that happen). Otherwise, no issues. I do go through a lot of purified water when I clean it, but it is worth it since I use this machine several times a day. The ice is the best!

Awesome Ice! A little louder than expected, but based on all the reviews kinda expected it. Limitless supply of awesome ice! Blue tooth controlled and programable.

Ice machine Worked great for two years and then stopped working. Took into store to have sent off for repair as instructed only to find out that they no longer send the machines off. Therefore came back up to the store and received a gift card to be able tom purchase another. Which then the store did not have in stock.

Great ice machine if you use distilled water only and you will love it

This is the best ice machine out there. If you like soft nugget ice this is the machine to get. Yes, it’s pricey but it’s worth it if ice is important to you

We wanted opal ice badly enough that we purchased a $650 ice machine. When you spend this kind of money you would expect this device to work well. It makes great ice and we love it. The biggest downside to this machine is the noise. It was tolerable when we first started using it. I purchased this Ice Maker on July 15, 2021, and today it is October 8, 2021. This ice maker is 2-3 times louder than the day we took it out of the box. It is now randomly making very very loud squealing sounds that can only be stopped by unplugging the unit. It sounds like the whole thing is coming apart. We have contacted customer service and they are working through a warranty process with us now. In the instruction manual, it tells you to use water with a hardness of 12.0 grains or less. When the warranty team talked to us they stated that you need to use distilled water in this machine. So, if you are fine purchasing distilled water to fill up the tank every time then I say knock yourself out with this ice maker because the ice is awesome. Just be warned it goes through a tremendous amount of water. If you don't want to store distilled water to make ice and you have hard water then I would completely avoid this purchase. Just my two cents.

Love it. Constant ice. Great for mix drinks. Towards the end of the week, the reservoir tank wasn’t feeding the unit. Not sure what happened but I took it out and put it back in and water was feeding the ice maker. None issue at this point.
