Ice that’s just like Sonic! A little expensive, but cheapest way to have your own soft ice at ice.

After owning and tossing ice makers through the years . I purchased the GE Opal. First off, it looks good doesnt look like a disposable appliance. The cleaning and descaling routines assure longevity for hard water households. Ice production is as indicated. It looks and operates like a upscale appliance

The best ice machine ever!!! I use this daily to fill up my Stanley to have a nice ice cold water all day.

Loved the ice maker for a few months then it started making an unbearable noise. I had to return it. Thankful it was under warranty.

Love this ice machine. I have nothing but good things to say. I recommend it to everyone i know. I even have family who ask for a cup of ice before i come over.

It works. A little squealy sometimes, but we keep it back in the laundry room so we don't notice it much. I think 4.28 stars would be more appropriate, but it wasn't an option.

I really like my opal 2.0. I use this daily. Hardest part was cleaning the unit. I have heard of others running into problems but i haven't had any issues. I refill my unit with water from my brita water jug. Works great.

You know you've reached the climax of adulthood when you get excited about an ice maker. If you want tasty nugget / pearl ice at an affordable price, this is the machine for you. Don't accidently get the Opal 1, it is Opal 2 or nothing. I could make some minor design improvements, but overall it is the best machine at the best price for my budding family's needs. Why don't they put these types of machines in fridges already? YOLO

Fantastic ice maker. A little slower and louder than I'd like, but man, that nugget ice is great.

Yes, this thing is pricey but it gets used more than any other appliance we own. It makes ice pretty fast and when it melts it cycles it back through for more ice, which is like Sonic ice only without the highschool kid attitude. We bought a filter for it that is supposed to last 6 months, didn't make it 45 days so maybe don't get that.

Can't believe how much I love this over priced appliance. The ice is great for beverages and making smoothies. I really helps me increase my water intake. When recipes call for cooling down blanched vegetables or eggs, I now have a full supply of ice in order to do the task.

Awesome ice machine, but the descaling process is a little cumbersome. Also, the light inside faded out/burntout after a couple of month. Machine works as intended though.

Love this ice machine a lot. It’s like having Sonic ice at home. It is important to use filtered water for the reservoir bc over time hard water build up causes it to make ice very loudly. I recommend the protection plan as I had to use it once. It is very nice to fill reservoir and come back and ice is ready all the time.

Best ice machine ever. When family members come over to visit they always say yes to a glass of ice tea because they want the ice. Sometimes I fill a cup full of ice and add Tajin, it makes a great snack. You won’t regret the purchase.

The ice is great but the cleaning process takes awhile!

This GE nugget ice maker is very simple to use and it's very fast making ice.

I was hesitant after reading some of the reviews but I’m glad I went ahead and purchased this ice maker. It isn’t as loud as people were saying. It sounds the same as the oven running and is quieter than the dishwasher. Started making ice in 20 min and bin was full in like as hour. The price was high so I’m hoping it lasts!
