Setup including cleaning process was pretty simple and straight forward. Just be aware that the supply hose from the reservoir to the actual ice maker needs some space. The product delivers exactly what it promises. The only deduction is for the noise. While not “loud” it’s noticeable. If they can solve that, this will be a five star

Love the uce it IS the GOOD ice. Bit for 600.00 this thing should not leak water out of the drawer when you open it and the noise...oh no when it decrosts and screechea at you til you wanna leave the room!!!

Fantastic ice maker. I personally have had no issues but we had one at work that broke pretty quickly due to the harder water line. If you have soft water though and refill the tank this thing is perfect. Thinking about getting a second for the other house its so good!

It makes ice very slowly, not enough to keep up with my family’s needs. The reservoir doesn’t work great even though I followed all instructions and set it up as directed. Also, it makes a TERRIBLE sound that is very loud. It’s so loud my dog barks at it angrily as if it’s the vacuum. The nugget ice is nice, and I like the UV cleaning button but it is no where worth the price. I had an ice machine prior to this that I got off Amazon for $100 and I would probably just buy that one again if I had the option. Due to the price I am now stuck with this one for a while.

We’ve had this unit for 2 years and it has paid for itself in spades. I used to have to run to the store and grab bags of ice for the wife and this has eliminated that. It it makes the “rabbit poop” ice everyone loves!

Love it makes just the right kind of ice you can chew. Takes filling the side water chambers a couple times then ice flows just like on the titanic well worth the price

I love this thing!! It is so low maintenance and the ice is amazing! 10/10 recommend. Our ice maker in our fridge stopped working and I haven't even noticed because all we use is the Opal!

This creates very nice ice. The cleaning process is definitely a project. I think if it was a closed system and had ice dispensing instead of everyone scooping it would be more hygienic.

This ice maker is the best! We absolutely love this machine! You never have to worry about running out of ice and you never have to worry about making ice yourself!!! This machine makes you want to have a drink with ice, it’s a total must have in your home! Throw away the ice trays!!!

This product has worked well for me for the past 6 years would recommend getting the warranty. Best buy always treats the customers right I will only buy products from them!!

Loved it until it was a few years old and started making loud noise. By I think as long as the warranty is purchased you’ll be ok. I can’t see myself NOT having this as a part of my kitchen

Really easy to use and makes amazing ice. Better than the fast food ice nuggets we like so much.

If you like the ice from Sonic then you will love this thing. Its used so much my only gripe is I wish the water container was a lot bigger. Yes its a little pricey but having non stop nugget ice day in and day out is nice. It produces enough ice to even keep up with get togethers as long as you keep the water container full.

While this countertop icemaker churns out excellent chewable ice nuggets and operates like a champ, its longevity leaves something to be desired. I'm on my third unit in just three years. To make matters more challenging, the warranty process was a hassle, with two replacement units arriving either damaged or unclean. It's evident the manufacturer has some kinks to iron out. Despite these hurdles, I still believe in the product. It's a trusty workhorse, but anticipate potential issues after a year of use.

This machine is waaay better than sonic ice or even hospital ice. I love the comfort of just being able to walk into my kitchen and scoop some ice into my yeti. Best investment ever and the wife is extremely pleased.

This ice maker is awesome. Makes great ice for my drinks, its fast, easy to use. I will never use the ice maker in the Refer again. Don't try to make extra an freeze it, turns into a solid block. Use one gallon bottled water, it tastes great. Love this machine.

Ice is great , simple to set up and use. Unfortunately it makes a loud noise after a few weeks of running it. Get the protection plan .

After wanting a nugget icemaker for years, I finally caved and bought this model thinking the high price would equate to great quality. Sadly that wasn’t so. When the new ice is fresh, it’s good. But the storage compartment isn’t insulated well enough to keep it in that shape for long. The ice melts together and becomes quite watery. I was willing to overlook this shortcoming until the noise started. After four months of using this icemaker it started making an excruciatingly loud noise. Completely unbearable, made me want to gouge my eardrums. Returned for a store credit.
