I've had this machine for about 3 weeks and its great. I mean the fridge that makes ice like this would be better but that's not in my budget. The ice is soft and crunchy. It also is good for making fruit smoothies, frozen daquiris and frozen margaritas.

I love my ice machine! makes ice quickly. i think the tank (where the ice is kept) may need to stay colder. i think overnight it melts a little because when i wake up it is making ice when we have not used any ice. But other than that i love my ice machine!!

This ice machine is a dream come true. It doesn't leak. It has an easy keep full method, and the ice is wonderful! It is quiet and can keep up with my husband who is an ice junky. It is so much better than the original firstbuild model we had--it did last over 4 years even with its design flaws--I am hoping this pretty model lasts just as long.

We purchased our Opal 2.0 a month or so ago, and have loved it. Truth be told... we purchased one of the original Opals when it was a Kickstarter project, and had it plugged in, making ice, every day for 6 years. What happened to it? I think our hard water killed it. Why buy another one? Opal ice is just.that.great! Spendy? Perhaps... but it's great ice, and great to have all.the.time.

This makes the perfect nugget ice. When you scoop out ice and close the drawer it instantly starts making ice so that your drawer is always full. It makes ice pretty quickly. It will not keep up if more than 2-3 people are using ice. My complaint is: For the price I think the ice bin should be bigger to accommodate more people. Also the ice bin is hard to open.

After our Samsung refrigerators ice maker died, we needed something for our family of 5 and often family gatherings and this has provided just that. We originally bought a smaller ice maker but it never kept up with our family needs. We are able to fill 3 32oz hydroflask bottles in the morning when the kids are off to school. Makes the best crunchy ice. Very happy with this purchase.

Works perfectly. Small nuggets of ice. Perfect size to fit for the counter space in my kitchen.

This was a gift for my wife and she fell in love with this nugget ice machine. The family come over and enjoys it as well. Any other ice machine doesn’t compare.

I can't live without this item. In fact I bought this one to replace an older one that died. From the old one dying to getting the new one up and running was just shy of 60 mins. 60 mins I lived without a point or direction and still shudder when I think back to those 60 minutes I had to endure without Opal ice and I know GE bought the company but to me , this will always be an Opal.

We host gatherings pretty frequently, this ice maker has by far been the best one we’ve owned. This machine was able to keep up with the demand and my guests loved the cruchy ice. I would definitely recommend.

Best ice maker l have ever owned. Easy to operate,easy to clean. Just buy the filter for the machine and if you have hard water install a water filter on your sink and you are good to go. I never had a water filter, but now l do l would not be without it. Helps keep your machine cleaner. Wonderful product this ice machine is.

I’ve had the machine for a few days already and it’s awesome. I’m even drinking more water because it’s so refreshing. The noise level is acceptable and while running the machine makes a sound similar to a small fish tank, but then it completely goes away when the machine doesn’t need to make any additional ice. This unit is a bit pricey but so worth it. If you can, get one.

This ice maker is a fantastic addition to our kitchen. The ice is perfect for any beverage (water, soda, iced coffee, cocktails, etc.) or even just chewing. The cleaning is fairly simple, but we do use filtered water for cleaning and filling. I imagine if you use tap water, it may have more build up over time. This is an expensive product, but we don't have any regrets purchasing it.

Great product so far. We have owned this device for about 4 weeks and love the convenience of right at our hands anytime. Performed the 1st descaling as required and it was simple and easy per the instructions.
