the good ice! this has been my dream purchase ever since it came out. our ice maker finally broke and i ran out to get this right away. it works well and runs pretty quietly. it’s a hum really, not super loud— i am at home with 2 kids, a husband working from home, and a puppy, though- my house is rarely quiet in general. only complaint is that it takes up a lot of counter space. worth it, though!

3 stars because when it works and isn’t making horrible dying cat noises its absolutely incredible and looks good. We’ve had 3 of these and each on started failing within 6 months. Wanted so badly for it to work out but ultimately ended up getting our money back on it. The motor starts to make really loud screeching noises and it will continue to do so until unplugged, which then obviously defeats the purpose.

We've had this for about a month and have been super happy with it so far. We clean it once a week as recommended and it hasn't been too cumbersome. The ice is made quickly and just like the nugget ice at some of the fast food chains. We're a family of four and it's able to keep up with no issues, even when we've had others over. I hightly recommend

My wife loves it. I think it is noisy, but it makes ice quickly. It runs a lot because the ice is constantly melting. The melted ice is then refrozen into nugget ice.

From day One After we set the ice Maker up.,It took about that Hour 1/2.,To Fill Machine With Such a Great amount of ice*!! Yum thee BEST

I've had this up and running for about a month now and I love it! Makes ice super fast. Shuts off automatically when bin is full or if the machine needs water. I love the nugget ice, too. The machine is quite heavy and it really takes 2 to lift it onto the counter so I wouldn't necessarily call it portable If you're on the fence about this product, don't be, pull the trigger, you won't be sorry.

Use it everyday. Makes amazing ice. A bit noisy though but worth it.

I’ve only had this nightmare for 6 months and it’s already gone to waste. It leaks everywhere because of a faulty seal inside the machine but if I want it fixed i have to pay a couple hundred dollars. This ice machine already isn’t cheap I’m not going to pay more to have it fixed when it’s only been 6 months. Before the leak it makes a very loud squealing noise just not worth the money

Every time people come over they are always commenting about how good the ice is

This is a pellet ice maker. This is so not worth the money that was paid for it. This was supposedly a gift for my birthday despite the fact that I never use it nor did I ask for it. It is constantly cleaning itself and always out of water. We even have the extra side container for water. I finally had to uninstall the app due to all of the alerts I was getting. Someone that may be deep into the GE ecosystem of products may love this product. In fact, before I accidentally found out what was spent on this I asked my wife to take it back. By the time I knew the price tag, it was too late. My wife and kids use it and like it. I won’t even fill up the water. It just takes up a lot of space in my bar.

We love the ice this makes but it does require maintenance. Ours has has had a couple problems that has resulted in GE exchanging it for a new one. They have been easy to deal with and back their products. Would be a five star if we had no problems

Makes great ice. We have not had any problems, it is easy to set up and works great.

Love this ice maker!! Everyone that comes to our house always comments about our “sonic” ice and asks where we purchased it from. The setup was super easy and it’s relatively easy to clean( diluted bleach wash). I highly recommend the GE Opel 2.0. I did purchase an extended warranty. Although our machine arrived dented CS replaced it right away.

Love this maker with water tank and sonic ice pellets!

Bought this to replace a cheaper bullet ice maker. This makes nice dense pellet ice that lasts all day in an insulated bottle. Definitely get the model with the side water tank because it uses a lot of water. We do a fair amount of ice and I end up refilling the tank every 3 days or so.

Great product love my nugget ice Easy set up Recommend

So far so great! EXACTLY what were were looking for. This machine makes the PERFECT nugget ice! We researched a lot and decided to go with the gold standard despite the significantly higher cost and we are not disappointed. For peace of mind we purchased the BestBuy care package because this is one small appliance we do not want to go without!

This is everything we hoped it would be! While it’s a luxury item, we are saving money on canned and bottled beverages like never before. The ice is sheer perfection. Unit is quiet. There’s nothing we don’t love about this machine!
