Works great in RV

Don’t want ice from the water in our holding tanks. We use Zephyrhills bottled water. Nice to have fresh clean ice anytime we want. Machine draws too much current to run on battery power. But ice lasts hours without power. Just crank the generator for an hour or so to regenerate ice again. Love it!

We decided to purchase a new fridge instead. Even though we purchased a new fridge with an ice maker. But we still use this ice maker more than the one on the fridge. We love this ice maker. This is an excellent ice maker for those that entertain a lot.

Decided to keep it anyway since I had waited for it to be instock since Christmas and I decided to keep it and not send back.

Profile 2.0 is much quieter better built better softer chewable ice than the rest. Don’t waste your money on other models

So far I am very impressed and like it more than the previous edition. I am an ice snob and this machine TOTALLY satisfies my snobbiness! My friends love coming over to the house bc they know they get to have "sonic" ice! I know it is pricey but it is WORTH EVERY PENNY

Posted .We are so pleased to hear you are loving your nugget ice at home. This is definitely the Good Ice and we're glad it is working quietly and efficiently. The side tank option is the best! It is installed flush to the front of the ice maker so that it does not block the air flow vents on the Opal. Fill the Opal Ice Maker Dispenser's lower water reservoir, if desired. Water will flow from the Side Tank but will have a slow start as it needs time to fill up the water reservoir before the ice maker can begin.

Posted .Hi, and thanks for reviewing – we’re so glad you’re loving your Opal! We do regret that you’re not always able to use the side tank, and we know this must be concerning. If the side tank is installed but water won’t flow from it to the icemaker, there may be an air bubble in the line. You might want to check that the hoses are connected properly and lying flat. You can adjust the tubes by lifting the tank from the icemaker and raising it 4 to 5 inches until water starts to flow, then putting the tank back in position. Ice maker has made GREAT ICE since first use. The only problem with this purchase was with the shipping which was a fiasco. Advise anyone to just stay on top of delivery status.

I can completely empty the ice bucket and it'll completely fill it back up in about 2 hours. The capacity of this machine is such that I don't believe that I'll ever be without ice. I like that I can see the level of the refill tank, at a glance, to assure that it doesn't run low.

I used another counter top ice maker, and it would struggle to make ice. The Opal is amazing and well worth the premium price. Even though it has no refrigeration, I still have ice in the container 12 hours after I turn it off. You won’t regret the purchase.
