Much quieter, and the nugget ice is identical to what you might get at a restaurant or fast food (think Sonic).

Wish it had a water line hook up but its great if you dont mind filling the water container. The change filter notification showed after a week but i put filtered water in it from my fridge so i think it might be a flaw.

But straight out of the box it made a squeaking noise, which later turned into squeal, then a scream. I sent it back before the warranty ran out and they sent me a new one. Again right out of the box it did the same thing. Then started leaking water. GE couldn’t help because the warranty already ran out on the original one. Finally ended up throwing it away. Maybe I just got a couple of lemons.

The Ice is so good that it can turn hot coffee cold and still last in the cup.

I always have plenty of ice when I need it. I love the fact that the ice stays frozen for the most part and the tank on the side keeps the maker filled. The more ice you use, the more ice it makes.

I had another counter ice machine that made the ice taste plastic and gross. This doesn’t do that. Even with some of it melting back into and remaking ice. I wish I would have gotten it sooner. No more runs to the gas station for the good ice.

Machine is a favorite in my house so much so that I purchased one for my parents and my brother will be purchasing his own as well. Ice is the perfect size and an absolute must for anyone who loves ice! It is a little in the pricey side, but Worth every penny!
