The best countertop ice maker. It makes tremendous tasting ice and it makes it pretty quickly. About a pound an hour and the size and softness of the ice is just like you would get at a restaurant or gas station with nugget ice. My wife is going to end up needing dentures soon going through the amount she chews :)

We purchased an original opel when they were first released. The water storage takes away the hassle of refilling regularly. The ice is just like sonic ice and amazing.

Our ice maker has consistently gone out in our newer model refrigerator, the Opal 2.0 has been a huge lifesaver. Don't let the size fool you, this thing produces some ice and has kept up with our gatherings at our home. It works great and the ice quality is great as well.

I purchased this icemaker and paid quite a bit for the nugget ice. We just found that it stopped working after only one month. Taking it back tomorrow. But loved it while it worked.

This GE ice maker is the one you want! aesthetically appealing and fast at producing ice. If you like Chic fillet or Sonic ice, this is for you.

overall the system is great for what it was meant for but it could use some fine tuning in the wtaer supply system and cleaning part.

Love, love, love this ice machine! I use it more than any other appliance I own honestly. I constantly have a cup of ice to munch on. The ice is perfect crunchy yet soft. We keep it on 24/7 and haven't had any issues. You can also buy filters off Amazon to filter the water if you want, but you don't need to.

This ice maker is the bomb. It helps refill the ice every single day and I recommend this icemaker big time. They did a great job making this portable icemaker great brand and I recommend this product all the way and that’s awesome.

This ice machine is everything I hoped for. It sits on my countertop. Produces an abundance of “good” ice. Is quiet. I am very pleased. Set up takes a little while with flushing the lines and clearing anything that could contaminate. After that is done, it’s amazing. Well worth the money if you are an ice snob like myself.

It worked great until it didn't. After about a year it started making LOUD knocking sounds that made me think it was about explode. I make sure to clean it every week, but I can't determine what is creating the knocking sound. For as expensive of an appliance it is, it should work properly for more than a year. Each time it makes the knocking sound I have to unplug the entire machine, reclean and it "may" work for a day or so.

Absolutely love it! Only hiccup was at initial start getting the air out of the pump. Beyond that, it has been great! We used it to prep ice for a party so maybe 25lbs or so with zero issues.

Great unit, i had different brand ice machine and it broke after 9 months of use. This unit makes more ice in less time. Better ice nuggets vs bullets. And so much quieter

Great product. Pretty pricey. Was a simple installation, manual was legible, and yhe ice is perfect. I purchased it for my late mother last year as a mothers day gift. It was one of her favorite gifts before she passed. She wouldve given it 5 stars, so ill do it for her.

When it decides to work, it works well. The issue is that it doesn't work all the time. And some of the times that it decides to grace us with ice, it is extremely noisy

Excellent ice maker! Super quiet and makes ice very quickly. We had a cheaper nugget ice maker previously and had issues with it being very loud and leaking. Not the case with this one! This is one of those times that it is worth the money for the name brand.

One day in, and very happy! This thing can make a ton of ice in a short time. The directions for an initial cleaning were easy to follow, and setup was a snap. Made an icy drink treat with four hours of unboxing. Tank was full by nightfall. Used it heavily all day and it’s still close to full.

4th ice maker I had bought for my wife, the other 3 different makes where return because they quit working, it seems to be doing a great job and the wife loves it
