4th ice maker I had bought for my wife, the other 3 different makes where return because they quit working, it seems to be doing a great job and the wife loves it

We purchased this machine August 5, 2023. We had to replace it in January 2024 under warranty for the horrific screeching noise. Now, August 28, 2024, it has gone out again with a different issue. Because it is out of warranty, it’s not replaceable. We used distilled water only, as well. Absolutely not worth the money. There are posts all over the internet about this. It’s great until it’s not. And it is a product that just does not last.

I have tried a TON of ice makers, each one seemed to he worse than the lasr. But this one is great! It keeps up with my family of 7 and will be the last one I buy!

Great Ice Maker! Pros: Makes ice really quickly and it feels like is never empty! Instructions were easy to follow and quick to assemble! Cons: I'm digging here! Maybe that the water tank will need to be filled as frequently as you consume the ice! (I Figure this would be expected)

This machine is a game changer for making ice. It hardly runs out of ice. It makes drinking anything from ice water to soda a pleasure. I sits on the counter next to the refrigerator. It’s pretty much quiet I would recommend it to everyone.

A bit pricey but glad I got it. Easy to setup and use. Had for 2 years and still going strong.

Works well for 2 to 3 people. At first it always said to add water even when it was full. I don't know why it suddenly stopped and began to work properly. We like it so far. Don't regret the purchase. 5⭐ so far.

For the first few months this thing has been the most Amazing appliance ever. Now it makes noises on its cleaning cycle that are so loud we are forced to shut it off which of course keeps it from making Ice .. Working through Best Buy now to exchange it. I will say that before It was 5 stars accross the board!!

This has been nothing short of amazing so far!! It makes crunchy ice fast. It is able to keep up with 5 adults and kids with no problems. It alsonis perfect for smoothies and drinks.

Ice maker is awesome and worth every penny for your household. Does exactly as advertised and while I got or on sale, it is worth paying regular price. Makes great nugget ice pebbles and the product is high quality made with great features. Space saving and very happy with purchase from Best Buy.

Best investment ever so glad i purchased for myslef

Been looking and thinking about getting one of these for a while and finally pulled the trigger for a family Christmas gift this past holiday. Absolutely loved by the whole family as well as any visitors we have had. Don’t know how we made it without one.

This ice machine is amazing!!! First very easy to set up, looks great and has the perfect shaped ice. Not to mention done so quickly. I got this for Mother’s Day and I put it in my office cause that’s where I spend more time but guess who’s getting another one for the house too, ME!!!!

One of the best purchases we have made. Ice is perfect. We do not use our ice maker in the refrigerator anymore because of this. Highly recommend if you want the perfect ice.

When it decides to work, it works well. The issue is that it doesn't work all the time. And some of the times that it decides to grace us with ice, it is extremely noisy

I loved this ice maker however, shortly after purchasing it started making a loud grinding noise. I returned my first one and got another machine. Shortly after that one started making the same noise. Multiple calls to GE and they always told me I just needed to clean it. I always clean my machine and yet this noise persisted. I asked for GE to send me a new machine but they told me to “try” their recommendations first. I told them I was worried about the warranty expiring but they assured me that since I had placed calls BEFORE my warranty that I would be covered. My last call made to them the representative told me I needed to do a deep clean and “prime” my pump and thus would fix my problem. I was so excited as no one ever told me to prime my pump. I followed her instructions and now my ice maker does not make ice! I called GE this morning and told the representative I would like a new ice maker and she told me “Sorry, it’s out of warranty”. When I asked her to review my notes and the confirmation that my warranty would still be valid since I had placed multiple calls she told me that she has no notes on my account. So, now I’m stuck with a machine that doesn’t work and all my patience and trust that GE was going to stand behind this machine was all talk. They pacify you until it’s out of warranty. So disappointed! GE STAND BY YOUR PRODUCTS…

Quality product, makes some noise which is aggravating. The unit functions and operates as described. Overall pleased.

Makes plenty of good ice. We use Alkaline water for the ice and it is amazing in drinks. We turn in in the morning and by Noon, we have aleniugh ice for the day! We bought the 4 year extended warranty based on other reviews that say it is a must to have the warranty!
