I followed all the recommended troubleshooting steps — cleaning, resetting, unplugging, you name it. Nothing worked. The worst part? GE customer service has been completely unhelpful. They clearly know this is a common issue but refuse to offer a replacement or real solution. For something this expensive, you'd expect some accountability. Instead, I’m stuck with an overpriced machine that makes zero ice and a support team that won’t support. Extremely disappointed. Don’t waste your time or money.

Can even take ice out and store in freezer when having a lot of guest. It breaks up easy after being in freezer.

The ice will melt and keep the ice reservoir full…kind of a back up system or way for machine to recycle the water to keep making ice…. so I scoop top 2 layers of ice only that seems dryer…. Put in zip lox bags and store in freezer…then I don’t use it until I need to make more.

Makes a large quantity faster than you would think. I was concerned about the noise but it to pretty quite. I am making ice for all my friends. Great purchase.

Great ice, annoyingly loud

But those people who say it isn't as loud as others claim should make an appointment with an audiologist or have their hearing aids turned down. This thing is super loud and runs frequently. We're seriously considering a return because of this.
