I had the previous model Opal Nugget Ice-maker. This is leaps and bounds better since GE purchased company and now producing these neuter ice makers.

The app/WiFi feature is a nice feature to setup a schedule for ice production. Our family loves this appliance. It is definitely a luxury item.

The app scheduling is great also as we have it set every day to come on around 2pm, and we have enough "good" ice for the whole evening.
