Generally last 3-5 years. We have been compelled to buy this model as no other model fits the custom cabinet in our kitchen. This last one came in July 2021 and by December the turntable was making a loud grinding noise. Has not quit yet. Called Best Buy, they said bring it in. Brought it in. "We can't help you as you did not buy the plan. Call GE." Called GE and they are planning to send a service person. Since they decline to bring the motor 1st trip, will likely take two trips. Take my advice. Don't buy one of these overpriced, unreliable microwaves. And if you do, don't throw the old when out when it fails as you will need it for parts!

The dimensions are similar, but it is much quieter than our previous model. It has everything we want, including the carousel. I would recommend this and look forward to many more years with it

In all honesty I did return it but not because there was anything wrong with it or the way it functioned. I have a custom cabinet where our microwave sits and this one was too small for the opening even with the custom kit that frames it, which also is very nice.

The reviews on this one (the newer version) was great, and since having the other with no problems for over 15 years, I went for it and glad I did. This one has turn table, the other did not. I like the turn table but need to get used to the smaller glass plate. Other than that, it's great.

You really are paying for the fact that it is not too deep. You pay more and you lose power. Mine got busted after three years. I am glad I had Best Buy extended warranty.
