Customers regard the 22.1 Cu. Ft. French Door Counter-Depth Refrigerator favorably for its phenomenal storage capacity, overall performance, and appealing design. The auto-sensing water dispenser and perfect size are also well-received features. However, some customers have noted concerns about the refrigerator's noise level, the freezer door requiring a hard pull, and temperature regulation.

Replaced my 10-year old GE with this model. Identical setup and exterior size, but the interior depth on the new fridge is much shorter, so less space. Was not aware the ice drawer feature was not included.

At first the freezer didn’t cool, then it cooled overnight, i dislike the large drawer at the bottom inside of the fridge because you have to open both doors to get to it. Other than that it’s a good fridge

We really like the new refrigerator. It has plenty of space for our family and it is easy to see all the items inside. The water dispenser works great.

Loving my new refrigerator. It looks great and has a lot more room for food than I expected. Temperature is even throughout and water dispensed is much colder and more refreshing than my previous appliance.

The refrigeraror is ok but for the price I expected more. The ice maker is too low,it splatters ice when its in crushed mode and the compressor is loud at times.
Hey there, and thank you for letting us know about your experience. We hate to hear you’re not fully satisfied with your refrigerator, and have concerns with the way the ice is dispensed and the noise the compressor makes. We always want to provide a great product, and regret any inconvenience you’ve had. Notice of your experience will be sent to our team for review. For the issue with the ice maker, if the ice is flying out of the mold and landing outside the bucket, you may want to make sure there’s no water line restriction. If the ice is flying out of the dispenser, you might want to check that the freezer temperature isn’t too cold. (If the temperature gets too cold, the ice may be too brittle and prone to flying apart too quickly when it’s crushed.) If it might be helpful, we have additional details on what to check for this issue in an article on our GE Appliances website titled ‘Flying Ice Cubes from Icemaker or Dispenser’; if you’d like to view this, you can do so on our website when you look up the title and click the Support tab. Regarding noise, we do expect the refrigerator to make some sounds as it operates, and we have a description of what sounds you may hear on page 45 of the manual. You can view that on our website when you look up the model number and go to the product page, if you wish. If you aren’t able to resolve your concerns and think service may be needed, that department can be reached at 1-800-432-2737. We hope this is helpful, and we’re always available here or over our social media if you have any other concerns or questions. -Sarah@GEA

Enjoying the GE profile fridge again. Missed my former one. Despised my replacement Kenmore/whirlpool fridge.

Purchased this unit to replaced a failed GE Profile unit that lasted 12 years. The prior model was no longer sold and this fit into the space perfectly and the finish matched the existing GE appliances. The ice maker is small and does make a little noise when dumping cubes into the reservoir; otherwise, a quite unit similar to the prior unit. Kids and I really like the AutoFill function. It works surprisingly well.
I would recommend this to a friend

Having two homes, we now own two of this GE Profile French Door model. These units serve our needs very well.

The refrigerator worked for 3 weeks and then the compressor went out. We lost food and GE was unapologetic when we contacted them. What a shame. Other negative notes, the edges on the shelves are incredibly sharp and dangerous. The material craftsmanship seems cheap on the inside. The freezer is impossible to open unless you use two hands. The auto fill water dispenser doesn’t work and always errors out. I would avoid this one and buy a different option if I were you.
