    Poor design and cheap parts

    This dishwasher works very well, when it works. The problem is the use of poorly designed and made parts. In our specific cade, starting just a few weeks after the warranty expired, the pump that supplies water to the wash arms failed, saturating our floor and basement. The part that actually failed was a short piece of tubing with two 90 degree turns. The pump motor worked fine, and pumped gallons of water onto our floor. Worstcstill, you can't just replace t he five dollar piece ofvtubing, you have to replace the motor assembly to get the tubing. Problem is, after 3 months the tubing on the replacement motor failed, causing more damage tobthe floor. That motor andvtubingvwas replaced and you guessed it, failed again. The local appliance repair shop refuses to repair it again, as they don't want to be responsible for replacing my floor after the nextvfailure. BUYER BEWARE! These dishwashers work great but are made with cheap parts that don't last. The replacement parts are even worse than the OEM parts, although pricedc at a premium. Be prepared to routinely check these dishwashers for leaks before they become catastrophic problems.

    Bought this dishwasher in early 2020. Pretty much used daily, but after a year the motor failed and needed to be replaced. Then recently, the drain pump also failed and needed to be placed. Lastly, the trim is separating from the unit.

    Poor quality Premium price

    I bought this GE dishwasher in 2020 during pandemic since they didnt have any other brand in stock. This was a premium item, but performed worse that my older cheaper whirlpool that lasted 12 years. This unit start dripping water from the bottom corners within a year. The roller wheels in the rack just fall off and get melted. And just recently the bottom spray arm just melted in the edges and the leaks got worse. This a disappointing product from GE.

    I had it repaired twice with geek squad. Now my geek squad plan expired and I have to get it fixed again. It cost too much to fix so I think I might just buy a new one. It need a new motherboard and valve. Of course it would not be GE again.

    Buy a different brand - not reliable.

    Very disappointed in this dishwasher. Works great when it works. But we have owned 3.5 years and this is the second time it has stopped working. The first time we paid to repair it but this time we are just buying a different brand.

    Poor Quality from the beginning. Shortly after purchase one of the wheels on the bottom rack broke. It is now not even 3 years old and the top rack rail broke off. We never put anything heavy in and run it once a day... This was the 2nd most expensive dishwasher when purchased and I will never splurge on a dishwasher again. Steer clear...

    Faulty design, poor customer service

    Within the FIRST WEEK of use the wheels on the bottom rack began to fall off and then melt in the bottom of the dishwasher. When we called Best Buy we were told they were no longer responsible because it had been over 14 days since purchase. (It took them a month to get the dishwasher in.) We had to call GE and were on hold for almost an hour. They are sending us new wheels, which we will need to install. This has not been a good experience! We expected a lot more from a name brand product that cost almost $1000 and was brand new.

    critical error electronic panel CrF

    Our unit worked twice before a critical error code CrF--the electronic panel failed. This seems to be an issue with this model. Then we dealt with the hell that is GE Customer Service. It is an absurd bureaucracy and impossible to get clarity. You submit and wait. Things take forever.

    Clean dishes, but super loud.

    The only reason we purchased new dishwasher was because old one was loud. It got the job done, but it was noisy. After reading reviews raving about how quiet this dishwasher is we decided to get it. It is not quiet AT ALL! we have open concept floor plan with living room/dining room and kitchen and I definately can't watch tv with dishwasher on. In fact, as I'm laying in my bed upstairs while writing this review I can still hear this freaking dishwasher! I honestly hate it. If You are looking for quiet mashine, look somewhere else.

    Used dishwasher listed as like new in open box

    This was an open box. WE brought it home just to find out that this had been dropped and has a lot of missing pieces. In the description it stated it had never been installed which was not true. This dishwasher was used. Feel like Best Buy lied to sell a product.

    Ruined my kitchen floor

    After just over 2 years, this dishwasher leaked and ruined a portion of our hardwood floor. Prior to that, some of the trim had peeled off and the 3rd rack was unusable. Definitely the worst dishwasher I have ever owned in my 25 years of home ownership.

    Terrbile, Doesn't work

    I had dishwasher installed. It worked for one wash then stopped working. Waited a week for a repair man. After he left it worked for another wash. Has a new one installed yesterday and it turned on for the installation man (he tested it for about 2 mins). After he left it would not work.

    Does not dry the dishes

    Dishes do not dry. I replaced a 3 year old GE Profile dishwasher that completely dried the dishes. This one does not dry them at all. Even using Dry Boost at the high setting does no good. I am extremely disappointed in the performance of this dishwasher.

For the best drying performance, make sure the water entering the dishwasher is at least 120 degrees. This can be tested at the nearby sink. Also, using a high quality rinse aid will help the dishes dry better, as well loading the dishes evenly without touching.     Hope you Like Lemons!

    When our third GE DW broke within three years (!) Best finally said they had pulled the plug on this dog of a DW. Poor service, poor cleaning. GE Appliances were purchased by a Chinese company Haier and KKR in 2016. Our repairperson said there are no longer parts for this unit.
