  • Features
    • Hard Food Disposer: true (This feature has blades to chop and disintegrate hard food particles, making them small enough to easily drain away. This prevents them from being recirculated back onto dishware and allows for easy maintenance.)
    • Drying Method: Heated drying (Appliances that use heat to dry the dishes will include a heating element or minerals which transform moisture into heat. A fan or vent then circulates the hot dry air throughout the tub during the drying cycle. This may reduce drying time and the risk of water spots. Appliances that use minerals to produce heat are considered more energy efficient than those that include a heating element. Appliances that use condensation drying are considered more energy efficient than those that use heated drying. Instead, high temperature water is produced during the final rinse cycle which warms the interior and eventually condensates and drains out of the machine.)
    • Operating Sound Level: 45 decibels adjusted (Today's appliances are pretty quiet. To get a sense for how quiet you'll need, think about having a conversation in the same room. • Child Lock: true (Setting that allows appliance to be temporarily locked to prevent use.)

    • NSF-Certified Sanitization Cycle: true (Meets the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) standards for performance and cleaning effectiveness. Q: What is the time of the shortest wash cycle?

A: Approximately 1 hour but not very effective to get things clean and dry

Q: I am considering this purchase to replace a very old profile that has worked well. I am concerned about a review that stated steam coming out at the bottom. Can I be assured this won't ruin my hardwood floor?

A: Hi - Thank you for considering this lovely GE dishwasher for your home. This model offers our "Hidden Vent" feature. The feature not only eliminates excess steam it also aids in drying your dishes. Air is pulled from the tub with an efficient 10 watt fan. The fan drives the moist air down a condensation tube, where any remaining drops of moisture are released within the door to a moisture proof trough in the lower inner door. Any remaining moisture drains back into the bottom of the tub and away from the dish load. When the dishwasher is installed properly there would be no issue with steam damaging your flooring. All our best! Vikki@GEA

Q: If i buy a new Dishwasher does Best Buy haul away my old one for free?

A: so.. it cost $20.00 for Best Buy to Haul away your old dishwasher...............

Q: My water bottles are 9” tall. Is there sufficient clearance to put them on the bottle jets?

A: Hello LK - Thank you for reaching out about this very versatile dishwasher. The top rack is adjustable and allows approximately 7 to 9 inches of clearance depending on the adjustment. Therefore, at the lowest setting for the upper rack, a 9 inch bottle will fit. Feel free to bring your bottle in to the store to test it out! Please let us know if you have any more questions. - John

Q: My dishwasher didn't come with wine glass holders attached to the top rack (something similar to what is in the attached picture). Was it supposed to? I can't remember if the display model in the store had them. Is there a way I can get some?

A: What an odd answer, considering I attached a picture of the type of thing I'm looking for and its nothing like the bottle blasters, nor are the bottle blasters designed for stemware. But, if anyone else is looking for an answer to this question, I ordered part number WD28X20312, which is the stemware holder from the previous model of this dishwasher, and it fit the racks of this one. It looks like the picture below and cost about 10 dollars.

Q: Does it show clean when it is done? Mine doesn’t seem to.

A: Yes the unit should indicate Clean with a GREEN light. However a fan does run and the Green light will stay ON until the dishwasher door is opened.

Q: Is the stainless steel fingerprint proof? Are there filters that have to be cleaned?

A: Hi CRJJ91 - Yes, PDT715SYNFS has a fingerprint resistant stainless finish. It also has a removable filter that can be easily removed for cleaning. Simply twist counterclockwise and lift to remove. This should be done every other month or more depending on usage. See page 21 of the Use and Care Manual for complete details: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-4000214.pdf - It also uses the latest technology (Dry Boost with Fan Assist) to get hard-to-dry items like plastic tumblers up to three times drier than other heated cycles can. Q: Is it possible to turn off the end of cycle audible signal? We run it overnight, master is on the main, and don’t want to be disturbed. What is the signal?

A: Hi Dani - Thanks for choosing GE Profile Model PDT715SYNFS and welcome to the family! The dishwasher will emit a sound to indicate cycle completion, button presses, and door ajar. The CLEAN light is illuminated and a double beep will sound when the selected cycle and enhancements are complete. To mute the dishwasher control sounds, simply press the Dry Boost pad 5 times within 5 seconds.
