While the concept of this machine is intriguing, it has not been a reliable laundry appliance for us. We are constantly maintaining it, and yet have had 4 service calls in less than 20 months of owning it. The water pump had to be replaced, the drying mechanism was also replaced, and their was a lint issue which caused them to come out another time and completely tear the machine apart to properly fix it ( it takes 2 service techs to do it). Now our motor needs replaced, along with some other components. Very disappointing. We are scrapping it altogether and currently reading reviews for reliable laundry appliances to replace it.

I was hesitant at first, but so happy we took the chance. This combo has the best of everything and works well in our small laundry area. It does a great job cleaning and I get the feeling in a much gentler fashion than a traditional washer/dryer. For big loads drying time is a bit longer, but I’ve learned to add extra dry time up front to avoid having to restart a new cycle. The lint screen is a bit messy. The way it’s designed it seems to create a lot of dust. But that’s minor in comparison. Oh and the unit is build like a tank. Feels very quality and well made. Concerned the evaporator has some minor damage from the factory but hope to talk to a rep about that. Overall very happy so far with the investment.

I've had two prior washer/dryer combo from a competitor (close to the same size as this) and they were a let down. This one has been by far exceeding expectations. Clothes come out nice and dry, with no burnt smell, it's pretty quiet and having an actual lint trap is so smart. App is great too! Overall been very happy!!

Wanted badly to love this but it just seems to have a lot of issues. YES it's great to not have to remember to switch over the laundry. YES it's awesome to have an electric ventless so it can be put anywhere in the house. But... 1- it rarely dries clothes all the way... you have to take them out immediately when the dry cycle finishes and shake them out to fully dry. This defeats the purpose of not needing to remember when the cycle will be done lol. 2- The lint trap is REALLY difficult to clean completely. 3- the water valve/drainage thing in the back needs monthly maintenance as small clothing can get stuck and back it up (socks, etc) 4- the time is WAY off on the cycles. It will say 28 minutes left and proceed to take literally 2+ hours

Best purchase I ever made. Throw your Laundry in and your done. Ventless gas less runs on 120.

So I give it 5 stars although I only picked 4 because my wife is not in line with me. I followed directions and wash alike item. Towels and wash cloths she just throws anything in at once. On our 2 unit wash dryer you can do that but this will wrinkle the heck out of the lighter items if you do that. Now they may feel slightly damp if you use the dry cycle that is automatically set when washing but remove the and begin folding or hanging and within minutes they feel dry and are. The unit holds some residual humidity after dry but it does go away right away. Just follow directions. My wife is catching on and because the convenience of one unit she will learn to love it too

This is the best washer and dryer we have ever had and it's all in only one unit, so we like having the extra space for storage. We are very happy with how easy it is to operate and the clothes come out so clean and fresh.

This is the best combo yet…I love the fact that I don’t have to switch the laundry from one machine to another. I can even operate it from the app…even when I’m away from home…

I absolutely loved it but ultimately returned it. Definitely doesn’t dry as well as a traditional stand along dryer but not having to move laundry from one unit to another made up for that. I ultimately returned it because I have 3 pets and their pet hair was overwhelming the lint trap requiring more maintenance than I care to do. If I didn’t have pets I would have definitely kept it though!

We are very satisfied with our purchase. Large capacity lets us do laundry less often. The one touch wash and app monitoring and modification is perfect. Thanks to bb we got our complete order in 3 days.

I’ve had this combo unit for almost a month now and I absolutely love it. It’s not super noisy and does a great job at cleaning my clothes. The convenience of not having to transfer laundry between two machines is pretty amazing. The only minor thing which is more of a “first world problem” issue is that the app doesn’t do a very good job anymore of notifying me when the wash cycle is complete in case I want to pull something out to not be dried or add a dryer sheet for the drying cycle. Other than that it works amazing and I’m happy with my purchase. Also, a week after I purchased this unit it went on sale for $800 less. I went on Best Buy’s website and did the customer support chat and they refunded me the difference in about 10 minutes!!

This is an amazing machine so happy I went with it. Ge and all dryer makers need to improve in the lint that gets past the filter. But cleaning it regular helps as it’s a heat pump and the cooling fins could get lint that passes the filter but it’s a great unit extremely happy

Love how convenient this is! Takes up less space, doesn't need to vent outside and uses a regular outlet.

We did tons of research on this unit before purchasing and let's just say it lives up to what we found. We have 3 giant breed long haired dogs and it still functions and cleans the hair in the lint chamber great. Everyone asks me if it was worth the money and I say "Well Worth It!" We enjoy that we can throw a king sized comforter and it completely dries in in a little under 3 hours without me having to restart the dryer part like all the other dryer units I've had all these years. Wonderful unit to just throw clothes in before bed or before work and come home to fresh clean clothes.

We have owned this for quite sometime now. We have some concerns, concerns that GE will not do anything about. Vacuum out the filter housing at least once a week, something isn't quite right with it and you'll get caked on lint stuck everywhere inside there, and it's a chore to get it out of there. Look for it on sale, if you can get it sub $1500 it'll work good.

Start a load, then forget about it for the next two hours. I got into the habit of starting a load in the morning, and it's made it easier to keep up on laundry. It is very delicate on clothes. Very little lint is produced after each wash, so clothes will likely last longer. As for the downsides, you need to wash similar articles together, or denser fabrics will be slightly damp. It also takes longer to do laundry if you wait until the end of the week since it's only one unit. My partner insists on waiting for laundry day, and their hamper is always full. The washer does not have a large capacity and is suited for multiple medium-sized loads rather than a few large loads.

Overall this a good machine. High tech,when comes to drying clothes they never fell completely dry. I love the fact that it a washer and dryer in one because the additional space that a washer or dryer would take up can be use for something else. The machines stop working after 3 months and needed an extra parts.

It doesn't work for me the washing and drying time is a long time to not see results

I have had this combo for almost a month now -- so far I love it! Easy to use plus it is installed in a hallway closet & the noise level is very low!

So far, so good! I love that it connects with my phone with notifications on when the laundry is done, and it's really nice being able to just set everything and forget about it, with clean laundry 1:45-2:30 later, depending on what settings you choose. I have found I usually need to use the "More Dry" setting to get the clothes fully dry, which adds about 20ish minutes to the cycle. Make sure you clean the filter between every load--the machine itself will remind you to do this if it senses the filter is getting full, but I didn't realize at first that the filter comes fully out of the machine, so there was part of it I wasn't fully cleaning. But so far, I'm thrilled, and looking forward to the energy savings and reclaiming the closet the old units were taking up.
