Don’t Purchase This Machine

Owned for 1 year when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.By far the most expensive washer/dryer I have ever purchased and by far the worst washer/dryer I have ever used. We take care to clean and baby this machine. However, it has broken down multiple times and I have had Best Buy and Samsung technicians in my house repeatedly. I have been forced to use laundry mats as my machine is often awaiting repair. A Samsung technician admitted to us that this model is unreliable. Samsung gave us a free cleaning kit so we could thoroughly clean lint buildup deep in the machine in recesses that I believe customers would not normally be expected to access. In my opinion this buildup occurs because of poor design.

Best buy refund purchase. I did buy unit from another company. Concept is great. Have had challenges with dryer performance. Need to stay on top of cleaning excess lint.

Cool concept but cold clothes

Then washed large bedding and it worked well. Then My kids started washing mixed type of clothing and it also dried them well. But I did tell them to not overload the unit. So I am very satisfied with this COMBO machine. Also love the app that tells me when my clothes are done and the fluid levels (detergent/softener) are getting low. I LOVE IT !!!

We have 3 kids under 10 and that means a lot of laundry. Not having to worry about flipping loads from washer to dryer is so nice and it gets around the needing to run the same load twice in the washer because you forgot about the wet load and it gets stinky. This machine does have a learning curve because it's not a two machine setup, but it is such a time saver!

Big Mistake
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i bought this ge profile to save room and electricity. have had it for 1.5 yrs now. biggest mistake i've made on an appliance. the concept is great. but the machine is terrible. takes forever to dry. the softener dispenser don't work. my softener turned to sludge. link filter issues galore. after 4 months we had to have the heat pump replaced. and now 1.5 yrs into it. it doesn't dry. keeps having lint clogged faults. and so far the geek squad don't know how to work on it. extremely frustrating. run far away from this ge profile.

At time it is a little noisy when it is sensing the load. I like that I can leave it and when it's done everything is washed and dried. Granted the clothes feel damp but once out and folding the they are dry. I have not used my phone WiFi connection as I don't feel like I need it. If I had a large family I would recommened 2

I have been wanting something like this for a very long time! GE knocked it out of the park with this one!! Notifications and controls via phone WiFi etc are awesome! I can control certain features when I am not home. Smart dispenser is perfect! Saves me space functions perfectly! The inside smells amazing! GE THANK YOU!!!

There's an article on our website that can help check on that, it's titled: GE PROFILE™ ULTRAFAST COMBO WASHER/DRYER - FINDING THE SOFTWARE VERSION ID. You can find that by clicking on the Support tab. We also have troubleshooting tips in the manual that may be helpful; you can view the manual on our website via the unit's product page. If you’re not able to solve this drying issue and think service may be needed, that department is available at 1-800-432-2737.

As someone who has difficulity with all the tasks required to do laundry, it helps so much not having to switch the laundry. Gets the clothes clean. The biggest downside is it is pretty loud.

Posted .Hi - Thank you for having purchased a Profile UltraFast Combo. We are thrilled to hear how much you love this unit and how it has simplified the task of doing laundry. The sound level of the Combo in washing is comparable to any of our other frontload washers. It is important that unit be properly installed, leveled and have the shipping bolts removed. In drying, the unit is quieter than standard dryers since the drum is insulated and there is no external venting. If you have concerns regarding the sound level, we recommend scheduling a service appointment to have the Combo checked. You may do so by calling 1-800-432-2737. We hope this is helpful. Too Good To Be True!!!!!

This turned out to be a nightmare! For the first 8months things were pretty good (although the dryer always left clothes slightly damp). But for the past 3 months I have had service men at my house both from GE & the geek squad repairing every single part of this machine (basically building me a new machine from within). They replaced sensors, filters, wires, boards, the motor, the list was endless!!! And after 3 long months without a washer/dryer, they finally decided to take it back and give me a replacement! Needless to say I will be going with a traditional washing machine and separate dryer and NOT GE!!!
